So you don't understand why "continuity" is important.
To understand it you have to have some idea of how these IAC programs work or at least those at Landon and Prep.
If Urick were to come i and not understand how to use the network of players, alumni, ex-player parents and other supporters, he will be on an island and his tenure will be short, indeed. That doesn't have to include keeping the current assistants.
But he has to get Varsity, JV and Freshman coaches from somewhere. And if he brings in a whole bunch of non-Prep associated assistants, he'd better be successful quickly. You can bring in some outsiders, but he better stay connected.
His high school experience is not like what he will see at Prep. If he doesn't understand it he won't know how to leverage it.
