I really do not know why he would quit or be fired. The reporter probably violated ethical rules and could very well have been fired. There are no such rules for a head coach in the NFL. They are treated differently because they had different jobs with different rules. Patriots would be crazy to fire him now. If his life falls apart and he becomes a wreck then sure but that is not likely. Kids are grown. Maybe he can patch up with the wife or maybe not but either way that will come to a decision point soon and move on. The owners likely never asked him the direct questions because they knew they would not get an accurate answer. SO if he lied it is doubtful it would be held against him. Tomlin is a good coach but his expire date has passed. He is not the long term answer for the Patriots, Vrabel is.
Sleuths have repeatedly been able to link her negative reporting to things that benefited Vrabel as a coach and harmed other coaches, players and teams. It calls into question the integrity of the league and its media apparatus.
All of which is a problem for her and not an issue for him. Kind of his job to get good press for himself.

Because his antics are a distraction. Nobody likes a distraction. Did they keep Gruden around?
The players already have the reputation of drug and steroid addicted thugs who abuse women, now the coaches can have the reputation of immoral scumbags who knock up other men's wives. Lovely optics.

Please. Gruden wasn't anywhere close to the playoffs in his second stint with the Raiders. Meanwhile, Vrabel took a team from 3-14 to 14-3 and to the Super Bowl. Vrabel isn't going anywhere, no matter how much the angry feminists stomp their feet and throw temper tantrums.

Her husband is better looking than Mike Vrabel, probably a nicer person since not a cheater, was single, will never have CTE, and was probably excited to date and marry a prominent, semi-celebrity journalist.
She made a terrible judgment call.
Agree on the judgment call but please be real -- looks are in the eyes of the person looking but Vrabel is hot to most women -- both because of his looks and size --- Vrabel will not have CTE either in all likelhood. Only a small percentage of football players will.
Vrabel is a meat mountain. I guess this why I find jersey chasing unfathomable.
