There were about 60 kids on the field, and none of them had numbers, so I’m wondering how the coaches are keeping track of everyone. One coach asked my daughter for her name once, but that was it. We still haven’t heard anything back, and today’s tryouts were canceled.
Just curious if anyone else has received any updates?
Has anyone gotten an invite from BP for the final tryouts yet? The email said it would be invite-only, but I haven’t heard anything back.
I suspect their team was already determined prior to tryouts. Probably nobody getting an invite.
I thought it was interesting how they were encouraging playing for one of their feeder teams to be “seen”. Do they mostly recruit from PWSI and VSA? So many stronger teams to choose from in the DMV, why would they dismiss those players?
Girls at a 2014 tryout to play for the feeder clubs in order to be seen? So they’re saying that if you don’t make VDA you should try to get on one of the RL teams at these clubs to have a better shot in the future?
Umm reading comprehension not your thing? It very clearly stated that. Read the last part of the email. There is nothing wrong with saying it if that’s their “business best practice” as noted above by someone else. I would argue one ID session is absurd though.

Should said “They told girls at a 2014 tryout…”

It was in the email they sent in which they said the second Id session would be invite only. They said if you didn’t get an invite, consider trying out for their feeder clubs so they can keep an eye on you. 🙄

Nope, not him. Just someone who struggles with people straight up lying on this forum.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:That's complete conjecture and highly inacurate. They know because they know. What i generally noticed in the past, is they pick the strongest external players without much regard to those partnerships. Having 'feeder clubs' just ensures they get to look at kids from a few different clubs. Those clubs do serve as a funnel for their tryouts. But, if someone who comes from a stronger team comes along, they would take them over a weaker club affiliate player.
How can they tell with only one ID session? From what I’ve heard, sounds like they had some eyes on girls at HP.
Thanks, QP.
