(needs a 2/3 vote - so needs Dem help to pass)
Where we are. This is the HOUSE GOP PLAN:
- short-term CR (March)
- disaster and farm aid
That will go as one bill (we don’t know what else may be in) - in attempted suspension vote TONIGHT, which needs 2/3. So Dems.

How is this different than the previous compromise bill that Musk scuttled?

I bet it doesn't include the restrictions on investments in China that Musk was worried about.

It’s simpler than that. Republicans have a majority in the House; they don’t even have to reach out. Then could get a bill House Republicans agreed on and then blamed the Senate and POTUS. But no, they are too chaotic for that’s
Elections have consequences. The next time your party suggests that nominating an elderly person is a great idea, think back to this Trump/Biden mess and say "no thank you".
Equating Trump and Biden is a fools errand.
Two elderly 21st century presidents that were historically unpopular and terrible leaders. I'd day they have a lot in common. Only difference is Trump has zero integrity while Biden has a little. Not equal but they are in a class of awful presidents by themselves.
I would argue that Biden had one of the most consequential presidencies in the modern era. Despite all the right wing BS, he righted the ship after COVID and left the strongest economy in the world; he got substantial green infrastructure investments; started the process of getting manufacturing back and restablished the US as a global leader on foreign policy.
Those are all facts.
Yes, thanks Biden for funding the ongoing wars with no end game, the 40% approval rating, and screwing the country by gifting the 2024 election to the even more unfit Trump with your pea-brain shenanigans. Very consequential indeed. Thank Biden for giving us Trump during these tumultuous next four years.

He reinvited the Democrats back to the negotiating table. We shall see.
How about he and Jeffries make a deal - put the original CR up for a vote, and Jeffries will guarantee enough of his caucus to back Johnson as Speaker next term.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahah!
No.
You see, there are 219 Republicans and only 211 Democrats in the current House. If the Republicans really wanted to pass something, they can, with NO Democratic support. So, why is it that the Republicans can't even get members of their own party on board with a bill that they did not negotiate with the Democrats? And why should the Democrats support a bill in which that they have zero input?
I don't get why this is so hard for people to understand??? Do you truly not understand basic math and how the Dems are not needed to pass this CR? It's mind blowing to me. I always thought DCUMers were some of the brightest. Hmmmm
These are the same people that voted for Trump and Biden. Bright? I think not.
And who did you vote for oh brilliant one?
Not the 80 year old people. I somehow found enough common sense to realize an 80 year old POTUS would be a very bad idea. How about you?
So you threw away your vote and pretended like you were the smart one?
Pretty sure the last 8 years have clearly taught us that the Trump/Biden voters aren't the "smart ones". I forgive and still love my fellow Americans but we've simply got to stop being so careless when it comes to politics.
Well you really did a great job in voting for some rando that never had a chance to win, so now we're stuck with Trump. Great choice! But at least you can play holier than thou on a mommy message board. So you got that going for you.
The sitting vice-president is a rando?

Trump will save the country from Biden era chaos on day one of his admin.
I mean, look at what a good job he is doing influencing his own caucus.
He’s not President yet.
He loves chaos on Biden’s watch.
