There is ART and PrEP for HIV to prevent your symptoms from getting worse or passing it on to others, or help prevent you from getting HIV to begin with.

Modern screenings for cervical cancer have greatly decreased the cervical cancer death rate and the new HPV vaccine (omg not a vaccine!) has decreased it even more! There are all kinds of medical breakthroughs aimed at cures and preventions. Anyone who says otherwise is straight up lying.

There’s clearly a widespread interest in reforming our health care system, the foods we eat, our pharmaceutical industry, etc. This desire for change cuts across party lines. But the question in this thread is whether RFk Jr is the right person to deliver that change. Many people think he is not. But the larger issues raised here are important and we should continue to discuss them as a society.

This is based on the false hypothesis that cholesterol is bad. The correlation between ldl/total cholesterol and heart disease is confounded and goes away completely when you keep hdl high and triglycerides low.
