Of course they do.

It’s like you all think these groups and countries are a bunch of tent cities.

It’s pretty insulting to the people living there.

Oh ok. So…where are they? There are cities being bombed all over Lebanon. It doesn’t look as though there is a functional organized military force that is capable of any significant offensive or defensive operations.

Problem is, the Lebanese Army doesn’t exactly get along with Hezbollah.

Hezbollah is very strong — about the size of the army for a medium-sized state. It’s bigger than the official Lebanese army.

Also from the 2017 Hamas charter:

Hamas rejects any alternative to the full and complete liberation of Palestine, from the river to the sea.

Did PP even read it?!

From the 2017 Hamas charter:

“Palestine, which extends from the River Jordan in the east to the Mediterranean in the west and from Ras Al-Naqurah in the north to Umm Al-Rashrash in the south, is an integral territorial unit. It is the land and the home of the Palestinian people. The expulsion and banishment of the Palestinian people from their land and the establishment of the Zionist entity therein do not annul the right of the Palestinian people to their entire land and do not entrench any rights therein for the usurping Zionist entity.“

TLDR: Free Palestine, from the river to the sea

Congrats to Israel getting their way again. America willing to destroy itself further for that warmongering, occupied nation.

Americans really do pride themselves on knowing less than nothing. That you think this bodes well for the future of the United States, shows how genuinely dumb the media and government have kept Americans. But frankly, that’s no excuse these days, because you now have access to sources other than the propagandists in corporate media who also brought you the Iraq war. At some point, maybe wake up and realize you’ve been lied to for a very long time.

8,000 Hezbollah rockets launched into Israel.

You want Israel to do nothing.

How many artillery shells, air strikes, and electronic devices did the Israeli use in Lebanon. The Lebanese have a right to defend themselves.

Ok. So here’s what happened:

Hamas attacked on Oct 7.

Hezbollah launched rockets on Oct 8.

Can Israel defend itself?

you are very conveniently leaving out 100 years of history that predates 10/7

The course of action with the least risk of life lost is for Israel to declare a ceasefire in Gaza. Hezbollah has always said they iull stop firing into Israel when there is a ceasefire.

Ah yes. Because before 10/7, Hezbollah was a peace loving bunch of hippies.

No, they are trying through their actions to get Israel to recognize international law and leave occupied territory, too.

Do you have a problem with Israel being required to follow international law?

Wow. An apologist for Hezbollah. Never thought I’d see it.

Hezbollah is an Iran proxy group. They are doing Iran’s bidding and are pursuing Iran’s strategic goal, which is to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.

Hamas is the same thing.

I’m not supportive of any of these groups. I fully condemn them all. But I’m not binary (like you, apparently), so there are degrees of contempt across the board. And unlike you, I don’t give any of them a pass because of the sins of their neighbors, including Israel.

Now that that’s settled, since I dictate what I do and don’t support, not you … let’s get you on the record right now with what you stand for, and we can start with you answering the simple question below (2nd attempt).

Do you have a problem with Israel being required to follow international law?

That's a very weasel answer to anything. And very pathetic. Either/Or. Both sides. Whataboutism.

And you dictate your little whateveresim.

Not the previous poster. But...

Do you have a problem with either the Hezbollah or Hamas charter?

You should read it.

If I were Israeli, I would 100 percent be for the destruction of Hezbollah and Hamas.

Word salad, but I don’t give AF about charters. And apparently you don’t either because you’re unaware that the Hanas charter was revised in the last decade. The only place you’ll find “from the river to the sea” is in the Likud charter, the founding documents forged by the leader of Israel’s current government.

Again, I condemn Israel, Hamas and all terror groups. Zero support.

But you won’t condemn Israel, which makes you part of the problem that the rest of the world will have to address.

You don’t give AF about charters but you take Hamas at its word for its so called “revised” charter that everyone knows is BS propaganda to trick dumb people like you.

Dumb people like me?

What do you consider fact? You take the word of radical, extremist Zionism as fact, and when Hamas explicitly changes their charter to address your accusations, you move the goalposts and call it BS propaganda.

Can your brilliant mind start to see why most people don’t believe, respect, take seriously, or care for the group of people you’re either part of or that you’re willing to blindly, unconditionally support?

I never said I take radical wings of the Israeli government as fact. I’ve said repeatedly on this thread that I hate Bibi.

I have no desire to continue talking to you if you continue to ignore what I say.

Where is Biden/Harris on this? Maybe we should ask Jill for help.

Biden is fully in on committing ground troops. He does not want any Israeli to have to fight and pay for Israel. The US alone must bear the cost of all actions Israel takes. Remember the US is solely responsible for the holocaust and must baby proof the world for Israel.

So these loons like this on this thread are Russian trolls? Or do they have Iranian trolls, too?

I mean we're sending troops there for a reason. What would that reason be other than to fight for Israel? This doesn't really happen anywhere else in the world.

We haven’t sent troops anywhere else? What?

No. But that’s not what Hezbollah’s goals are. Hezbollah’s goals are the same as its benefactor, Iran: the wholesale destruction of Israel.

Cool. You expect Israel to follow international law. Appreciate that.

Next question: Since Israel has unequivocally flouted and violated international law daily for at least the past 76+ years, why do you continue to support a nation that defiantly refuses to recognize international law?

I don’t support Bibi. I believe Israel has a right to exist.

Now since you’re asking me questions, I’ll ask you one: why are you miscasting Hezbollah as simply wanting Israel to abide by international law, when they’ve been abundantly clear that they want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth?

I didn’t miscast them as ONLY wanting Israel to follow international law. But Israeli’s failure to do so certainly doesn’t help anyone take Israeli’s preposterous “pre-emptive self-defense” and “existential threat” claims seriously.

I believe these groups use threatening language to project power in the midst of having none. It’s a game of optics, played by power brokers in these tribes who seek to bolster support from populations greatly maligned by the U.S. through our blind, unconditional support of Israel. Non-existent existential impact.

I don’t believe these groups, collectively, have 1% of the capacity to do any harm to Israel. Therefore, my attention rests on Israel’s reaction - the disproportionate reaction that results in massacres like 42,000+ dead in Gaza following 1,200 dead in Israel.

You cannot possibly believe that this current conflict will improve the level of safety and peace in Israel. And yet this frenzied response. It’s madness.

It’s both frightening and amusing how the far left has become sympathetic with long-recognized Islamic terror groups. I’m a democrat who is so alarmed by what I see in the liberal movement.

They are deemed terrorists by the west. In other places, they are seen as freedom fighters.

“In other places.” You mean in your opinion?

First of all, Hezbollah doesn’t represent the Lebanese people.

Second, yes — Lebanon AND Israel can defend themselves.

That’s how it works in every goddamn country in the world.

Hezbollah does represent the Lebanese. Hezbollah was formed to fight the 22 year occupation of Lebanon by Israeli- ie Hezbollah only exist because of Israel’s previous invasion of Lebanon.

Israel is at war with Lebanon. The one neighboring country that never joined in the attacks against Israel by other Arab countries. Lebanese people hate Israel for what he’s done to them.

Let me get this straight:

Hezbollah is Lebanon.

Hezbollah has launched 8,000 rockets at Israel since Oct 8, 2023.

But Lebanon hasn’t attacked Israel.

That’s completely logically incoherent.

Israel attacked Lebanon first. Your willful ignorance of the facts show you are a Zionist extremist. Tell us how many air strikes, artillery shells, electronic device bombs, etc Israel has used against the Lebanese people? How many Lebanese have been killed since Oct 7? Israel is not “defending” itself. Israel is the aggressor as always.
I sincerely wish you and Israel much pain, suffering and failure in your invasion and occupational Lebanon.

If Hezbollah is justified in its actions then why do most Lebanese not support them?

I personally don’t wish anyone pain and suffering and it’s disgusting that you do.

The Lebanese people are Hezbollah. Hezbollah is the only hope Lebanon has of fighting back against Israel. Polls show 97% of Lebanese hate Israel not dislike but hate. These numbers are similar for all of Israel’s neighbors and are a result of Israel’s never ending need to kill its neighbors.

Stop your delusional rantings. You support Israel’s endless wars, genocide and terrorism. You wish to see all those people murdered, in pain and suffering. To be fair to you, you just do not consider who ever Israel is killing “people”. You only consider “good” Jews people.

So go look in a mirror and call what you see there “disgusting”. You will be right for once in your life.

"The Lebanese people are Hezbollah..."

You are obviously not Lebanese.
