Which one? Interested in Business and ready to transfer out after first year to a better business school.
They are both quite good business schools. W&M as you probably know is not a direct admit, so first year would not be in the business school.
How about job prospects and internships from these schools
More firms will likely recruit at IU Kelley because it is larger, but I believe W&M was ranked tops among public schools in Princeton Review for internships.
WSJ had a ranking of graduate salaries by public universities in different fields. It wasn't specific to the business school, but probably overlaps significantly. In finance, W&M ranked 5 and IU 18. In management consulting, W&M ranked 9 and IU 13. In Marketing, W&M was 18.
Both are beautiful campuses.
Thank you!

Kid struggles with ADHD. Does not want to be too far from home. Does not drive. Is very social and wants an active social life (which makes me want to choose the least expensive school in case they struggle academically).
Music business - or possibly some other type business. Very outgoing, people oriented person.
JMU sounds like a good match for your really social kid, it will be the right level of challenge, if you are in-state it will be less expensive, and it has an outstanding music department.

W&M waitlist/January start
If she really likes W&M, I’d go the January start. Otherwise, maybe Gettysburg.
If she really likes W and M, then I think she’ll also like Gettysburg. I think it’s worth it to go there and start in the fall.
Gettysburg isn't nearly as good a school as WM - I'd take the delayed start at WM
OP—can you describe more about your kid’s personality? Bc that will help with differentiating btw Gettysburg Fall vs W&M Spring. My son is going to W&M and my sister went to Gettysburg.
She’s an introvert but has made friends quickly in the various summer programs she has done. She’s into chorus and theater and interested in continuing on some level in college. We both liked Gettysburg a lot but she applied to W&M ED, and in the last week she is solidifying on W&M spring with a London fall semester. I’m a little concerned about the downsides of the spring start, but not sure it really matters what I think anymore LOL. Sounds like a good number of W&M kids do the London program so will not be coming in totally alone anyway.

Kenyon at mid-60s annual coa.
St. Olaf at mid-40s coa
Wooster at mid-30s coa
Hendrix at 30-ish coa
Beloit at 30-ish coa.
St. Olaf sounds like a great match. A friend’s daughter sounds just like your kid and she is really thriving there. Also, they have a great Environmental Science dept.

I think that sounds like a wonderful path and from a fellow alumna, welcome to the W&M Tribe.
