If Gerry is, at heart, at a time in life where he wants to keep it simple, then Faith and Leslie are not going to be the right "speed" for him. Theresa might be more on that speed level.
That doesn't mean there is anything wrong with Faith, or Leslie or Theresa or Gerry. It's just a matter of finding someone who wants to live life at the same pace as you.
Yes, good point. Although I find Theresa quite boring compared to the other two, maybe that’s better suited to him at this stage in his life.
I don't know what "securities professional" means, but it suggests Teresa is at least somewhat smart. She's 70, so she's probably not on the trading floor, but maybe she owns a brokerage or day trades, who knows. I did find Theresa pretty disingenuous during the whole Kathy spat. But it's probably going to be Teresa.
I just can't see Leslie and Gerry together--she's the wrong "speed" as you say. Also I'm not sure what they talk about besides ATV rides and Leslie's life story. Finding a steady man is great, but you need something more to do/talk about in your daily life. Maybe we just don't see that deeper connection happening.
He should have kept Ellen.
Does anybody else have their fingers crossed for Joan coming back? The producers extended the season from 8 to 9 episodes.
Interesting!! I had forgotten about her.
She seemed like a quality/together person.
(I was appalled by the woman who missed her daughter’s wedding to be on a realty TV show!)
I mentioned elsewhere that there was a Farmer Wants a Wife show episode where a woman who had to leave earlier in the story came back and re-entered competition. I wouldn't be surprised if they did that here, too.
It's not happening. Joan isn't coming back. Let it go.
Geez, emotional much?
NP—PP is factual not emotional. The ones who want fairytales and pixydust to have Joan return are emotional. Not just realistic.
"Wanting" is emotional projection. Nobody cares as much as you -- it's just idle speculation.

DP. Realism is wanting somebody who's a good match to win, and that's just not manipulative Theresa or needy/lost Leslie.

I mean, that's a simplistic take, but it's where this all started in that first episode. I wonder if there will be a callback to that. Not immediately, but maybe dating with the plan for him to sell and start fresh elsewhere. If the woman has a house and they move in together, he'd have plenty of money to fly back frequently.
I think he already sold that house.
Yep. It's not been touched on in the show, but it has been in interviews.

He states in this interview he's looking for someone high energy, and that he would be hesitant to enter a relationship where geography was a serious obstacle. And "“He's often busy hosting barbecues, playing pickleball, cheering on his favorite Chicago sports teams, four-wheeling, and spending time with friends and family at restaurants and local haunts,” his official description reads. He is well matched with Leslie.
Agree. I was on TeamTheresa but I see this too.

Theresa isn’t exactly low energy, although she’s not an ATV type. I’m not sure I could see her at a Cubs game, although I’m not sure I could see Leslie getting excited about that either. And Leslie is pretty far away too.
It might come down to who’s willing to move-including whether he’s willing to move for one of them. And although Faith spontaneously said she wouldn’t move, we haven’t seen anybody else answer that question yet.
