At this time of the year, it boils down to 3 things that win you a ring in my opinion.

Depth, quality & quantity possessions, coaching

All of these teams have talent, that's what got them this far. In the dog days of summer and in the heat, can your bench help carry the starters who are worn out. If starters can be fresher in the 4th quarter, usually that team wins. I believe Madison and Yorktown have the deepest benches to help their starters out. Robinson is somewhat there also. Lake Braddock, Battlefield do not have great depth so they will rely more heavily on their top 10. This cooler weather is helping the Bruins and Bobcats significantly.

Getting the ball and capitalizing with it is key. Having a stud faceoff man, having a great ride or clear, getting more gbs, not turning the ball over are key to winning the game. The team with more quality and quantity of possessions usually wins. Right now Madison has the clear advantage in this area.

The X-factor is the coaching. Having a coach know X's and O's is key, but having experience on this stage, knowing when to call timeouts, utilizing the rules to their advantage, having your team properly prepared for each game is huge. Usually the team with coaches that prep their teams the best win. Yorktown, Madison, Battlefield, Robinson staffs have great experience in this area in terms of getting to the big game. Lake Braddock will have to prove themselves in this area.

I don’t think LB’s last win over Robinson was that resounding. The whole game it felt like if Robo could just figure out how to break LB’s 10-man ride, they’d make it a game. With so much time to prepare, I bet Robo will have their clear dialed in and I like them to win a close one over LB if possessions are more balanced.

Their two loses are by a combined deficit by 2 goals. Had a large, 6-1 lead over Madison in early April, which ended in a 9-10 loss in OT. Madison was missing their stud Face off man that game.

Second loss came to an amped robo squad seeking revenge from the Region Semi debacle of last season. Falling early 7-1, the bruins came back to tie 9-9 at half. Robos freshman fogo left the game early in the 2nd quarter due to a season ending collarbone injury. With him still in the game, Robo would have swept the floor with LB. Robo ended up winning that matchup 15-14 after the bruins fell flat in the 3rd quarter, but had late game come back that fell short as time expired.

Should be one of the better games of the season tomorrow night as LB hosts Robo for the first time since losing 19-5 last spring in the regular season. Cant wait to see how the LB coaches lead their boys into the state tournament.

Believe the game is 6:00 @ LB? Can anyone fact check this?

Think they are a good team with only two losses only on the year. Close losses where unfortunately they built large leads they admittedly squandered.

LB has good players; still has to prove they have a good team.

Don't count out Robo just yet, they have a little payback in mind after last year.

This is not the best year for Robinson as evidenced by game WTW game.

They will be pumped up for LB but they just won’t be able to pull off the upset. Bruins are clearly heavy favorites to win that game. Rams just don’t match up well but I have no doubt they will play with some heart.

Agree Bruins are top pick to win it all this year. They have a really good team this year.

Honestly, haven’t seen those games
or players you “call out!” But, not sure how this continued player bashing makes “adults” any better by “trash-talking” them here. Know one player identified from club and this is completely uncharacteristic behavior of what I’ve witnessed over many years. Was it provoked on the field? Imagine a level of ribbing and competitive spirit is part of every competition, in every sport and at every level.
I think everyone needs to take a deep breath, step back and enjoy competitive lacrosse playoffs. WE, are NOT on the field ls and we don’t hear all the interactions (let’s not be hypocrites)…cannot imagine it’s one-sided. But, let’s model the behavior that we expect, desire and be good sports and stay positive. Best of luck to all and may the best team win. Have fun - it all ends too quickly!

As it is tough to beat a team multiple times in a season, do not overlook Freedom SR who has a chance to upset Battlefield if they get by Patriot.

Yep, last Freedom Patriot/game was 11-9 and last Battlefield/Freedom game was 11-9 so not that much separating these teams.
