Not sure if it’s in this thread, but I also completely enjoyed her argument on the wetlands. She said, “Is there a way people could know they were buying property that is part of protected wetlands?” The Army Corp of Engineering spokesperson said, “Yes, they can ask us and we will tell them for free.” Boom. Dissolved a wordy argument from Kavanaugh just like that.

Bless her and the consistent, brilliant, and brave Sonia Sotomayor, who has alone spoken truth and given rational historical context for years.

Justice Jackson said at her confirmation hearing that she believed in originalism as a way to interpret the Constitution:

I noticed a rapid decline after his good and honorable buddy John McCain died …RIP Senator McCain.

Lindsey Graham is a natural sidekick, and McCain was his Alpha. When McCain passed, Graham had to find a new Alpha to latch onto, and Donny Smallhands was right there waiting.

I think the reason behind Graham's pivot to Trump is a bit more sinister.

Regardless, very happy that this made it through. Representation is important. I wonder if voting to confirm could impact Collins or Murkowski politically?

Collins just got re-elected. This is one of a long list of things that Murkowski is already in trouble with most Rs, but she keeps doing them. Her race should be interesting. Last time she was up she was primaried by the right but won with a write-in campaign.
