This is a bizarre take.

It would take a pretty special / confident kid to walk into M&D as a second year transfer given the long standing chemistry of that team. Can’t see an established group of girls passing to the new kid very often.

Anyone know where Skywalkers practice? Asking for a friend.

St Paul’s School

That is a haul for sure. Agree with a PP that I hope the core of Blue stays together and that somehow they find a way to improve those areas where they are weakest. Not sure where that talent will come from, but hoping they come out of tryouts stronger.

Unless something big shifts, the disbanding of Coppermine 28 does look likely, at least their best players. Not sure the home locations of those players, but if any are not far from the DC area, would not be crazy to assume they may consider Capital.

That would be great but my guess is their top talent are working the phones to get on a MD team.

Maryland parent who doesn’t know Capital that well question - do a lot of new girls show up for tryouts tbis Summer leading into 10th grade year, or is it more about movement between blue and orange teams?

IF a top Capital player were to move to most any of the other teams, I'm certain they'd get passed the ball as much as anyone else. That said, agree it doesn't make a ton of sense for a girls to abandon a coveted blue spot unless there's a real reason for unhappiness.

I’d give Skywalkers a look; maybe M&D if they have open tryouts.

Cap Blue 28 has consistently beaten Skywalkers so that would be a backwards move.

Can you imagine the reception by the M&D player (and parent) set to a Cap transfer. No thank you.

I don’t think I would stay away from a tryout due to a parent and one player. Having said that, I would stay at Capital so long as I was not one of the aforementioned bubble players. The recruiting is still great and this team will attract a lot of attention if history is any indicator. I also suspect they will continue to improve.

Both these things are completely false - someone is trying to scare people away from weighing their options.

This current cap blue team is consistently beating Skywalkers? They haven’t even played each other this summer

Agreed… they played once in the Fall and Cap Blue won by 2. Skywalkers is currently ranked higher and has more impressive wins this Summer than Capital. Worst case it’s a wash, def not a backward move.
