Then why hasn’t it already been done? I smell BS
Since there are articles about it, I’m hearing they are also listening to the MLS league idea. I don’t know the status of the league or any info on it other than what the news articles have published.

No. About the formation of the league and including girls.
There's nothing yet to suggest they would include girls.
In fact, quite the opposite. Articles have painted a pretty clear picture that DA could not be maintained for both boys and girls, let alone MLS boys and non-MLS boys. So DA was terminated and MLS was quick to announce its new “BDA Lite” league of the top tier BDA teams. There is 0% chance MLS also wants to shell out equal dollars to the girls. Plus, what did the top GDA teams in SoCal do? They were the first to join GDA, yet SD Surf and Real So Cal joined ECNL. If there was going to be a “GDA Lite” league funded by MLS, US Soccer, NWSL or anyone else, SD Surf and Real So Cal would have gone there instead of ECNL.
For girls, it is ECNL or bust.

Let’s say they do, how would that look? Meaning, who would the girl teams play? Another mess waiting to happen. Remember what was said with the formation of the DA? This was going to be the elite league and pathway to the YNT and NT. Everything else when to the wayside, HS, EDP, ECNL, and any other league you want to plug in. Then, Poof. Like coming home and finding out you were just robbed.

If they did, the simplest path would be to include all of the disenfranchised girls DA's. Nothing would change.
That stated, ECNL has taken many of the top nationwide DAs. So the MLS league wouldn't be 1st on the girls side at this point. They'd have to invest in that fight. They have no reason to do that at this time.
Again, if FCV were offered ECNL, they'd take it in a heartbeat. They haven't been offered.
The most likely scenario at this point is a special EDP bracket for the former girls DA teams.
How do YOU know what has or hasn't been offered to FCV? You dont.
