Will do but waiting for the coaching slate first. To many rumor's on who is taking over.
I wouldn’t Do that. VDA is blowing up. Coaches leaving. Players leaving. Why do you think they have not posted their coaching slate yet? They’re losing ECNL status.
Your an idiot, what coaches? And you think that MC is going to let ECNL go? No what people do is they come on this hidden forum and stir crap up to make sure there club stays relevant. Here are some facts for the rest of the people out reading this so you all know what’s going on.
Mike C U.S Chairman US soccer board of Director and VDA Executive Director ( very smart will let nothing happen to VDA or the status)
Matt L Technical Director (Very respected and new to the girls ECNL side. Great leader)
Mikey W new Director and Coach (great trainings and knowledge of the game. Has plenty of professionals in his corner and will bring VDA girls side to excellence) Hopefully taking over 06 and 04
Bronson New coach to VDA but coming from VSA where he has great ideas and success (hopefully taking over 05)
Quan P. Been coaching at VDA for many many years. (He is an amazing coach that teaches not only technical skills but tactical skills at a very young age has been very successful) taking over 08 and hopefully 07
Steve S. Been with VDA and still with VSA on the boys side. (Great coach has many years of developing and taking teams to the next level. (Hopefully the 03 team gets him back because my DD will come back if that happens)
My DD used to play for VDA and I have been watching them closely. Most of above is facts about the coaches but the slate has yet to be chosen. I can tell the readers this nothing is happening at VDA as you can see they have amazing coaching. The club is putting things together and trying to do what’s right for all the families and girls involved. Stop listening to idiots on this forum that want to see VDA fail and if you have questions email the club.

With teams being somewhat fluid, you don’t know if your DC will be a starter or bench warmer when you sign up in the spring. Coaches won’t outright tell you your DC is a benchwarmer because frankly they need some benchwarmers on team for injuries, family commitments, etc. From a parents perspective though, it sucks to drive NJ for your DC to only play 10mins. My recommendation is to make sure you have a good understanding of how your DC fits on the team before committing.
Part of being on a team, have your kid try swimming
Does anyone know why VDA is taking so long to release the coaching slate? Heard Mikey will take that 04 team and my DD wants to tryout if that’s the case. Does anyone know when they will make that decision and when they will be having the tryouts? My DD plays DA currently and we have heard great things about that Coaches training. I called the club with no response so if anyone can shed some light for me that would be helpful.
What DA club are you with?[
You think I am putting all that out there yet. Not happening
Understood. Best of luck to your DD.
Do it the right way and don't burn bridges. I hope the move works well for your family.

If your DD is on a DA club, you should know that you don't need to wait for "tryouts" -- just contact the club, even if it's not Mikey just yet, and ask to come to a practice. No restriction limiting a DA player from going to an ECNL practice. Of course there may not be practices to go to since it's HS season, which you should weigh in your decision of whether you would leave a team that does practice in the spring. Not saying DA is necessarily better than ECNL -- depends on the player and the club, but the spring training situation is a bit complex.
DD is and that’s why I want to get all my ducks in order before burning bridges. It does make a difference to who will coach but thanks for the feedback.
