+1 completely agree. I never saw apartment living as only for the poor or the young or people 'who didn't try hard enough' as one mom here put it.

No, it just gets them out of the paid workforce longer....

I'm happy if a rescue group is trying to find homes for these unwanted dogs. Maybe it's not fixing the long term problem of puppy mills, but the rescues certainly aren't aiding these puppy mills so they can get a "convenient" supply of dogs.

Yes! Sounds fantastic to me. We would all do it if we could. Look at Europeans.
I could, but I'd be bored. I was bored by about 4 pm yesterday because it was my third day off work in a row. Unless you watch hours and hours of TV or are normally sleep deprived, I can't imagine giving up a stimulating, well paying career for evening downtime.
You sound boring. I'm a np, with no horse in this race of sahm/wohm. How can anyone be bored with downtime in such a busy world. So many books, so much music to discover, so many things to take an interest in. I'm a painter and work 55-60 hrs a week . I'd way rather be making art and taking hikes and relaxing with loved ones. I'm glad you love your career, but it seems sad that you're ability to be so easily bored is making you miss out on life.

My unpopular opinion: people who give animal life the exact same level of importance have mental problems. There is a thing we can do with excess animals: put them down. Sometimes that's the best thing.
