The games worth following this afternoon are below. My predictions...
SJC offense comes to life against BL in a high-scoring contest on Lake Ave. Cadets over Lakers: 12-9
Prep loses in a hard-fought game against Baltimore Jesuit rival: Dons roll over Lil Hoays 10-8
Landon knocks off St. Paul's in a boring, low-scoring affair on Wilson Lane: Bears over the Crusaders: 8-7
Bullis continues to build momentum following its come-from-behind victory over GC last week. Bullis over the Purple Eagles 11-8
Enjoy the spring-like temperatures today and stay hydrated.

SJC is good and deep this year
#2 Paul VI 2 - 0 @ Bishop O'Connell 2 - 0 PVI -8
PVI is good but not deep
#3 Georgetown Prep 2 - 0 @ Loyola-Blakefield 0 - 0 GP +2
GP lost by 8 last year and LB has a bit too much
St Pauls 0 - 1 @ #4 Landon 1 - 0 L +1
Landon had to strictly pole at fogo. Won't work against good teams
#7 Gonzaga 0 - 1 @ #5 Bullis 2 - 0 B -2
Very similar teams. Bullis with a late empty net to get to 2
#8 Episcopal 0 - 0 vs. Charlotte Christian (NC) 3 - 0 EP -2
DC area over NC area
Benedictine 0 - 0 @ Flint Hill 0 - 1 FH +6
St Stephen-St Agnes 0 - 1@ Bishop Ireton BI -2

Key School 0 - 0 @ St Vincent Pallotti 0 - 1 NL
Sidwell Friends 0 - 0 @ Indian Creek School 1 - 1 NL
Mount St Joseph 1 - 0 @ St Marys Ryken 1 - 1 STMR +6
MSJ is way better than given credit for
Gilman 1 - 1 @ DeMatha 0-1 DM +5

Jackson Reed 0 - 1 @ Bishop McNamara 1 - 0 BM -4
Maret 0 - 0 @ St Johns Catholic Prep 0 - 0 M -2
St Albans 1 - 1 @ Good Counsel 1 - 1 GC -5
GC pulls away over the course of the game.
Very helpful/informative.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:When will the St. John's hate end? Coach Speaks just wasn't interested. Move on.
They are easy to hate. The parents are obnoxious; but you try to remember that the athletes are just kids. Then they act like entitled prima donnas and you realize that the apple does not far fall from the tree. It's like PVI but with a full trophy case.
Have you seen the Prep and Gonzaga parents?
Stop stop, you're all the worst.

Given SJC and GP are playing on the road in Baltimore, not sure if BL or Loyola stream their games - I assume they do.

I could see Bullis knocking off both Landon and GP.
Not sold on GP yet, Hilgy needs another year under his belt to get his troops situated. GP was terrible last season so I'm not even convinced their prized "commits" will ever see the field in college.
I would tend to agree on Bulls being competitive. The 2025 class was a major disappointment. Really underperformed, were terrible teammates, poorly coached, and the parents were awful. They single handily destroyed whatever goodwill lacrosse had built at the school and caused a huge chasm between administration and lacrosse. The current players are paying dearly for it with lack of depth and zero recruits, but banding together with great chemistry and leadership on field and in locker room. Trying to repair the mess left behind. They will be better than the rest of IAC is giving them credit for. Senior Attack had 5 goals against GC. Senior SSDM and Mid commits are top tier and so solid. A little surprised the senior goalie let so many in net against GC but will chalk that up to a one-off. Staying healthy is key, otherwise plan on them being right in the mix for an IAC title, despite some of the most predictable coaching in the worlddodge and go, dodge and go, dodge and go.
Glad to hear Bullis is trying to shift the culture. The 2025 class revolved around 1 player.
will take some time to bear out but case in point, administration has already allowed the team to use a dedicated social media page. Admin took it away from the 2025 class and effectively removed their entire legacy. It was a disaster. Though that one player is crushing it as a freshman. He's never been coached well. He will be a top player over the years at DI once they tap that potential imo.
