I believe that I read that there will be a Metro exit directly into the arena.

Potomac Yard serves yellow and blue line. Why are people saying only yellow?

Abe Pollin trusted Leonsis. Pollin moved the team into DC to help the city. Leonsis is pulling a Dan Snyder and will be cursed with a losing franchise. How you can’t build a NBA , NHL juggernaut in DC with no teams in Maryland and Virginia shows you are a loser. It’s probably the most massive concentrated uncovered market by one team in each sport in the country. Leonsis is a fatter, sloppier version of Snyder.

Baffled by an escalator? That Twidiot needs to stay home.

This is a good reason for term limits in DC. She didn't have the vigor or gumption for a third term. A new mayor would've been more hungry for success and making their mark on the city.

PS - I still think USAO is purposely sandbagging the city and letting criminals run free to basically ruin the District for political reasons.

You could see it in her face today and at times her voice was shaky.

If Racine runs. could be the final nail in the coffin for DC. Not sure who other candidates might be. No one on the Council is up to it.

Where was Mendelson today, the Council Chair, for his joint press conference? What happened to the Council and Bowser working together? Terrible impression created, as always.

Quite a “destination “

We certainly couldn't build housing there because of all the airplane noise driving the future residents crazy.

Huh? There are condos above the Harris Teeter right after the PY shopping center/Arlington line plus several high rise apartment buildings.

Surely these people are deaf from all the airplane noise. 140+ db!

I live in Bethesda and it was a breeze to get to Cap One.

I don't see myself ever venturing to PY for a game.

Why alienate the base so much? Terrible location for anyone outside Arlington/Alexandria

It’s a terrible location for anyone who isn’t walkable or right on the blue or yellow lines. I drive down there 3x/wk and it’s already a yuge mess. Alexandria is very inaccessible to most of the DC area.

Good thing Bethesda has a metro stop. Take metro to Potomac Yard.

The additional time to transfer and get to and from PY is about an hour. That take a 1/2 hour emtro ride each way to an hour metro ride each way. For a weeknight, that just isn't going to happen.

Youngkin wasn't going to let stupid "issues" like affordable housing and mass transit stop this thing from happening. He smartly located this on the Alexandria side of National Landing so the stupid missing middle housing and reform prosecution in Arilngton won't derail this. To their credit Arlington Police are ruby-red in their politics, but you can't take a chance on trying to work with the People's Republic.

No, this isn’t going to help Mr. Religious Nutter. It’s going to be a huge mess. And he was toast as soon as he started with his attack on women.

Sorry but no. It’s another brilliant move by Youngkin. And BTW all the women I know who live in NOVA think he’s great.

You must know very few women in NOVA.

I’m guessing zero.

We need to recall the Mayor. This is unbelievable. All the money is leaving the city.

It’s untenable how uninspiring the DC team names and image are. It’s spastic and low IQ regarding coolness.
