And historically, it is approximately 50-100 times the Black population at TJ.

More Asian students were admitted to the Class of 2024 at TJ than there had been Black students at TJ in its entire history to that point. And TJ has existed as a sci-tech magnet for 35 years.

That's a travesty but do you blame Asians? FCPS is to blame for their poor teaching, and they wanted a quick fix at the expense of Asian families.

You need to stop acting as though a different process that had the same result would have somehow been satisfactory to you. Any change in the process that had a reasonable chance of a steep decline in Asian students would have triggered the same outcry and the same development of a Coalition-style entity to keep Black kids out and maintain the ability of motivated parents to leverage their resources to make their kids look more worthy than they are.

You just have a better chance of winning because this School Board can’t get out of its own way.
