WARNING for people who didn't understand what went down last week:
The DOJ investigations just ordered by Trump will lock most of the docs that Congresspeople want to release. Due to the legal process, they will not be available to the public for the duration of these investigations.
That was the entire point of launching these investigations: preventing the release of the DOJ's files.
The House is voting on Tuesday to release the files. Then the Senate must vote. If they have a veto-proof majority, Trump as President cannot oppose their release.
But by that time, the files might all be on lockdown due to spurious new investigations by the weaponized DOJ.
Keep your eyes peeled.

With hindsight it is impossible not to believe that it was trump who informed the police as well as orchestrating Epstein's suicide.

In fact, Garland took an unusually cautious, norm-restoring approach designed to avoid political influence. Biden publicly refused to pressure DOJ even when it hurt him politically; and Garland consistently insulated sensitive cases by relying on career prosecutors, grand juries, and eventually a Special Counsel. That is the opposite of how a politicized justice system behaves.
The major cases against Trump did not originate with Biden or Garland. The Mar-a-Lago documents case began with the National Archives and a grand jury subpoena; the Jan. 6 investigation started from the bottom up, driven by thousands of rioter cases handled by career staff; Georgia and New York prosecutions were state-level and outside DOJ control. Meanwhile, the Biden DOJ prosecuted Democrats like Sen. Menendez and Rep. Cuellar, undermining the claim that only Republicans were targeted.
Key points that debunk the “weaponization” narrative:
Biden refused to direct DOJ actions and stayed silent on Trump and Hunter Biden cases.
Garland slow-walked decisions to avoid political timing and appointed an independent Special Counsel.
All Trump-related federal cases were driven by evidence gathered by career investigators and grand juries, not political appointees.
DOJ also charged Democrats, contradicting any idea of partisan targeting.
In short, the record actually shows a Biden/Garland DOJ trying hard not to be political. while the charges against Trump stem from his own conduct, not from any presidential pressure.

For as long as I can remember, the Georgia congresswoman has been a reliable firehose of assclownery. Lately, though, I’ve been subjected to the unsettling spectacle of Marge behaving in a sentient manner. It’s like enjoying a new song on Spotify and finding out it’s by Kid Rock.”
