The starting lineup for this squad will be competitive with the top teams from LI and Maryland.
How they do in the tourney will likely come down to how much the coaches play the bench.
Yes to Maryland, considering many top MD players are doing AA, but not LI. Capital + a few players will not beat Yellow Jackets best.
Similar girls from the past 2 years and they didn’t win a game at either event. What will be so different this year?
Nothing will be different. The DC VA AS team won't win a game again. As pointed out, the top maryland players are all on the AA team.
Will depend on a couple things
1) Are they put in the top pool?
2) How much does the coach play their bench?
If they are in the top pool, winning a game will be tough most top teams. In the 2nd or 3rd group, they can be very competitive especially if they give a majority of playing time to their starters.

Several Capital Orange players. I don’t know that the other regions will have many B team players on the roster because they draw from more clubs. The Maryland team may have some B team players because the top players tried out for AA. So DC-VA will probably struggle again this year.
Uninformed comment. The cap orange team has many strong players on the roster that could play on A teams.
Uninformed comment? More like over inflated opinion and unrealistic parent thinking their daughter who made Capital Orange could have had her pick of A teams to be on.

Anonymous wrote:Exactly. Just because someone is on a B team means they are worse than everyone on the A team. By making American Select they are showing that they are putting in the time and effort to get better. Congrats to all the girls who made it and keep working on your game. The best of you in 4th grade are no longer the best and the best of you in 9th grade are not guaranteed to be the best in 11th grade. Put in the work!

12 different girls from 2024 roster
Interesting list. There is one fewer roster spot this year, so only 9 of the players are returners. 6 of the 9 get the hat trick after being selected three years in a row.
YJ South players that were there the last couple of years didn’t trout apparently.
