Jen is the one filming the video. She’s not the person in the video giving the woman a hug. Jen’s hug must’ve come after she stopped filming.

The video is hilarious because it represents her relationship with Tyler so well.

Yep. The shirt is a nice, basic staple for a laid back approach to professional wear, but does anyone over their teens still knot their shirts at the waist? If she didn't want a full tuck, she could have gotten the same effect with a half tuck and looked much more on trend. Wear a bright colored blazer or maybe a suede jacket. The fact that it required so little to change it to a casual travel outfit should have been her clue! (As a travel outfit it was quite cute, even the knotted shirt looked a little better...although I still vote for a half-tuck instead.)

Is this the worst thing in the world? No. And I'm not really keen on policing what women choose to wear. But I think that if we DO choose to wear certain things we have to realize that people are going to draw conclusions from our choices.

Jen is the sort of person who would never do an act of kindness or charity if someone else wasn't aware of it or if she couldn't broadcast it to the world.

The Legacy Collective is an example. Jen plays the Queenmaker, cuts the checks, and broadcast the grant to the world. But the grant isn't coming from Jen, it's coming from hundreds of anonymous donors. All of this, of course, after a hefty cut off the top for "administrative and marketing expenses".

Standard accounting rules allow her to spend donations on all sorts of barely tangential things related to the charity. For example, as she's in The Chatt right now she could have a very expensive dinner with a donor with Tyler and talk a bit about TLC and write off the meal. She can do stuff like this all day long.

The post with about the show she and Tyler went to in the Chat, sitting on the front row and the singer playing “their” favorite song. Guy in the same row proposed to his girlfriend. Jen went ape with happiness and tears. Went over and gave them one of her full frontal hugs. She said watch to the end of the video to see her over reaction, said in her best I’m so cute manner.

Definitely watch the video. It’s worth it to see Tyler rolling his eyes at the whole thing. And that was even before Jen deciding to take the spotlight.

I’m involved in a large metropolitan regional chamber like this one and I totally agree. Dress is very buttoned up business attire. I’ve never seen anyone waltz in looking like this (especially not a guest speaker).

Tyler refers to himself as the “dad” of Shannon’s cat just a few months before he starts dating Jen. Yeah, when Tyler asked Shannon if he could date Jen, she probably said “only if you milk her for all she’s worth and never actually leave my side”.

Honestly, in the picture where she is hugging the woman in red, you can spot a few different women in the background and the most professional it gets seems to be a blazer thrown over a t-shirt. I don’t think Jen’s outfit looks good at all but nothing about the event screams super professional dress.

I've been to dozens of their events.
