Muslim countries did their fair share of oppressing too.
Palestinians are oppressed, America education and health system is designed to oppress the less wealthy. Let someone who truly has been denied opportunities talk about being oppressed

I mean I can go on and on. What are you gonna do? In my opinion if people of faith spent as much time being the person their faith calls them to be as they did telling other people how to be the people they think they should be, we would have a more just and beautiful world.
The way that Islam treats and subjugates women raises zero concern?
I think I indicated that this was not an exhaustive list but yes, really any subjugation of women I find offensive. Genital mutilation of both genders is horrible. I mean the world is full of horrible people doing horrible things for what some suppose are good reasons, but again, I choose not to spend my days ranting from the rooftops about all of them. My energy is better spend to more positive ends than airing my grievances though I am a fan of Festivus.
did anyone ask you?
and part of the reason why Jews are uncomfortable with this is the long history of violence towards Jewish people under the guise of Christianity. So you’re cool with telling oppressed people not to speak up?
They aren't oppressing you by having a seder. It is just in bad taste. If you want to talk abut oppressed people how about we discuss how women are the most oppressed group since the beginning of time?
Ah yes — the oppression Olympics.

Pp’s point was, let’s not claim oppression where none exists. Christian seders aren’t oppressing anyone, in fact they would seem a (misguided) attempt to reverse past persecution by empathizing, or something. You wanting to spend your Seder talking about historical oppression has little to do with it.
If you want to talk about oppression, find some real, current oppression. Like the oppression of women in Judaism, certain churches, and Islam.
Or oppression of the Palestinians. That’s an issue today.

Seems only fair!
"Forced," as if -- gefilte fish is the silver lining of the week-long matzah cloud.
Well, here, too is the Ashkenormativity. We never ever eat gefilte fish in our house - it's not an inherently Jewish food - it is Polish Jewish food that Polish Catholics also serve.
Polish? All the Jews from the former USSR eat gefilte fish.
Anonymous wrote:Dear OP - I’ve read all of your remarks. You clearly don’t want to contact the very few churches that may conduct Seders. You want to publicly shame all Christians for something they do not do. Please try to find a good therapist -or even a learned rabbi -and have him read what you wrote here. Your behavior is not normal. You want to argue over and over about something that is not there. And even if “there” does no harm but you are unwilling to contact those few churches and tell them it is appropriation. Most rabbis will disagree with you. That is why Jews are encouraged to bring Christians and friends to both nights to share the history of Exodus with them. You argue here, on and in, because you seek attention. A good therapist or rabbi may be able to help you. That change alone will help you in your relationship with family and friends.
