but only when they were ECNL. When they went DA - they lost a lot who wanted to play HS. Now that they are GA and have spent one year seeing the light, they will leave. GA is not a worthwhile league, recruiting is more complicated now with covid and new rules, the kids will have to make the most of their opportunities and GA is not it! Factor in the Pup and kids will realize the turf is much greener elsewhere.
Kids are absolutely still getting recruited out of GA.
getting recruited INTO FCV from other clubs - not recruited by colleges.
Well, that's not true but believe what you want.
What does that even mean? What isn't true? That they recruit from other clubs? Of course they do ! Why do you think they got Kurt Gordon back? He invented that technique.

Really? What happen to the DA propaganda of steel sharpening steel. Lmao.
The GA parents are getting desperate. Who you trying to convince?
It’s game over.
Leagues don't develop players, Clubs do. Its actually a quote from Christian Lavers, the ECNL president.
I believe he said that when Girls DA was announced. Just sayin.

how many of the ecnl coaches are actually good at developing players versus simply recruiting
This is the golden question. I think there are some coaches that are better than others at developing tactics but I don't know if ECNL coaches spend much time at personal or technical development. Its like enrolling in an advanced writing class and expecting the teacher to train you on proper grammar. The reality is that you are expected to have that base before you take the class. The sign of a good coach is if he has trained a player from a young age and that player is recognized by next-level coaches (DI, YNT scouts, Pro-scouts). I know that Pipeline has two players invited to the YNT camp and both trained under their current coach since u9. That is the only example I know of where a coach has been working with a younger player from the beginning. The coaches at McLean and MUFC have a great track-record of teaching tactics but the players they get usually come in at u15/u16.
How can you say MUFC coaches have a great track record? Not one team is considered good.
Ask FCV is MUFC has good teams. Lmfao

I am not an expert but when recent classes, including the current graduating class, include commits to WVU Vandy, UMD, Yale, Dartmouth, Tenn, OSU, etc. and you have alumni playing in NWSL or on the the WNT, you must be doing something right.
