His ranking member disagreed.

Wrong.

The coup was the spying on then candidate Trump then using the fake dossier to launch the Mueller investigation in an orchestrated attempt to have him removed from office.

There was no Russian collusion so now Barr can start to investigate the real treason by the Obama administration.

Ridiculous.

Here's Trump discussing the attempted coup just a week or so ago.

Holy crap - this is very detailed and specific. Wow. I really thought Nadler was backing off, but this says otherwise. Is it possible these investigations will move forward at a steady pace while Pelosi and the Dems avoid impeachment proceedings?

These subpoenas are setting the stage for Pelosi and Dems to move towards impeachment, not away from it. Well played, Nancy. Well played

Trump stated that an investigation is warranted into the treasonous coup against him by Obama and the upper echelons of the Democrat Party during the 2016 election.

Seems the best way to put this behind us is to have military tribunals to determine exactly how this coup began.

Why are military tribunals called for?

Districts should be squares. That way reps are forced to represent a wide array of political ideologies instead of just those that agree with them.

I agree. Investigations will go on, but they will not be labeled under the I-word. This is the best argument I've seen for Dems to oppose impeachment. It's purely a political exercise and Dems would lose.

"Allowing Mr. Trump to lead the Republican Party, filled with sycophants and weak-willed leaders, into the next election is the greater prize. Democrats have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to realign American politics along progressive lines, very much like Ronald Reagan did for Republicans in the 1980s.

Trumpism equals Republicanism as long as Donald Trump is at the top of the ticket. And a real shift to progressivism in America will be delivered by a devastating rebuke of the president and his party, a rebuke that will return control of the Senate and state houses across the nation. Politics is always a gamble — and this is the best bet we’ve had in a long time."
