No. If they were in my job and they were recruiting people to move with them while they were being paid by their current employer would the get fired and lose their license over ethical rules. Yes. But for some reason, being the caretaker of kids does not involve the same ethical obligations of other jobs. Go figure. Maybe this is where the ire should be directed. But according to the rules here, it seems nobody violated any.
Can you name one coach that has switched clubs and players have not followed?
That is literally VDA’s playbook.

Worst case I lose my payments. Parents can move their kids anywhere, there are no professional contracts between parents and clubs. Why are we treating a bunch of kids like Pros?? This board is crazy.
You're oversimplifying it.
The kids shouldn't be punished, they should be able to switch clubs. But when coaches carve up three age groups in a club purposefully, while being paid by said club, months past tryouts dates, recruiting them heavy during Nationals (and before for some) and while players had already accepted offers - it sets a an uneasy precedent financially and morally - which is DMV soccer for a decade. Good luck to those moving forward and club directors beware, it's the wild west now.
Actually you are oversimplifying it.
This whole debacle is on FVU. If the parents had a choice on who the coaches would have been for the 3 age groups, almost all would have picked the 3 coaches at Bethesda and all the players would have stayed. Instead FVU did not listen to us parents as many of us called and even did a petition.

Anonymous wrote:The FVU transfers will be fine its everyone else who has not been in communication with NM that will get a raw deal. NM burns bridges where ver he goes. If KL thinks he can control him, hes up for a rude awakening. This is NM's team good luck to all, hes the best right? Lets see cause this is a hot mess of a team with too many players at the same positions and parent egos who understandibly at u16 will have no patience for their child to ride the pine
Not even accurate but carry-on with the hate clearly you are better off with NM and the commute. Do you!

Anonymous wrote:well no ecnl cant do that. They once the can i open its open. Players should be free to move wherever whenever. Unsure if this means you cannot transfer to Bethesda or if it means FVU cannot transfer anywhere. 2010 FVU better go get a few players. Their roster is slim. They better advertise this option.
sounds like a bsc problem . If you guysAnonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:ooooo so players can leave when they want to now?! Did you guys just open a can of worms? Did they give you anything in writing that other clubs can follow behind?Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:For those of us that know all parties, but aren’t in the loop, what was the verdict? Seems like girls could transfer, but some problems for the transfer coaches?
The transfers were approved all is well with girls and coaches everyone can go on playing soccer and being nice to everyone again.
Mid season/early season transfers for those that paid dues are ok?
Yes, players can and should be able to leave whenever they want. This whole idea that youth clubs have ownership of the rights of players who pay dues is the stupidest thing. Nobody should be forcing children to play on teams they don’t want to play on. The only binding condition is the financial one. You pay your dues, you get your card and move on. FVU gets their money, BSC gets their players and coaches. Time to move on and let the kids play.
So are these players also paying dues at BSC? They were promised they didn't have to. Seems unfair to OG BSC families!
