Goldberg never should have stayed on that thread to eavesdrop. His actions were completely unprofessional. He needs to be prosecuted so completely that he and his family are ruined financially, educationally and professionally no matter what the actual final decision in court.
To those supposed military people complaining that they were exposed and “endangered”: GROW UP. Do your jobs right and maintain OpSec so that you have nothing to worry about beyond killing the enemies.
You forgot the /s.
It’s not eavesdropping when you’re invited into the conversation. Further, the fact that Goldberg is actual gentleman of state and didn’t publish all the plans or send this text chain elsewhere, all the folks included should be saying Thank YOU! As for the military personnel, they are and have been maintaining operational security. They are not under question. It’s appointed leaders and their actions that are under scrutiny, rightfully so. And their leadership is even more in question as they apparently fail to understand the severity of their actions and lack even the basic grace and humility that god gave a leaf to at least shut the F up and just take their lumps, especially considering they haven’t already been FIRED.
