It’s not that they shouldn’t be angry about Epstein, it’s that since they ARE, it makes no sense that all the other disgusting behavior DIDN’T anger them.

I don’t know what MAGA’s moral compass is to be honest. I’m still surprised this is what they care so much about.

It was not a serious case. The E Jean Carrol case however was very serious…

And presumably he is implicated as well, since he’s having a transparent meltdown.
I'm not MAGA, but I don't think Trump is necessarily involved. I do think certain factions want to see him implicated. All those photos of Trump with Epstein? They ran in the same powerful circles. Don't you chat with people you might not necessarily like but you're in a social setting ? He might have exchanged pleasantries or a joke, but that doesn't mean he was best buddies with him.
I do think Epstein was collecting blackmail material, who knows which government is behind it. Whichever is behind the blackmail scheme has let Trump know he better not release the information.
No one said that they have proof that Trump is involved. But there is reasonable suspicion that he could have been involved given his proximity to Epstein and his history with young women. You didn’t have to be best buddies with Epstein to participate. In fact anyone who was in the same circle as Epstein could have been involved. Bill Clinton and Bill Gates could be involved as well. We know they visited his Island.
What I know for sure is that you were not involved because you were nowhere near those circles.
The fact that Trump is quick to sweep it under the rug indicates that he is trying to protect himself of his friends.

Lots of info and links in this older thread. IIRC her pseudonym was Katie Johnson and she pulled the first lawsuit she filed in 2016 due to death threats. A later suit was dismissed on procedural grounds.

Yes, they certainly ignore the deliberate imposition of suffering and even death for women who need abortions and can't get them. They ignore family separations at the border, which leads to high risk of child abuse, and turn a blind eye to horrendous detention conditions of migrants, a lot of whom are legal. They are OK with sending non-violent migrants to ultra-violent prisons, and third world counties where they don't even speak the language, such as Sudan - you know, the country that has been abandoned by nearly all governments and aid organizations because of its systematic killings and rapes.
So yes, the question does pose itself. Why this particular horror, and not any other horror?

NP. No, I don’t think so. They say that and they accuse others of grooming, but we keep hearing reports of more and more conservative/religious men committing sex crimes. Not only conservatives but so many conservatives. So often they’re notable because they’re accusing others of doing the same thing, when in reality it was them. So no, I don’t think that they really care all that much about sex crimes, except when they can use it to further their own goals.
