Frankly, there is a lot of distrust between the Middle Eastern Christians and Muslims in SE MI. I do wonder how that plays out on the national politics scene.
This is very interesting, and I appreciate your input, if you are still following. This was my impression, too, but I wasn’t sure. I think what you are observing is true for other communities as well, not just in Michigan.
Yep, that was my post. It’s an interesting dynamic for sure. That said, the Middle Eastern community is not a monolith. There are great differences between say the Christian Syrians, Lebanese, and Chaldean communities. Also, there is a huge cultural gulf between the Dearborn Lebanese Muslims and the Hamtramck Bangladeshi Muslims. This will be studied for decades to come.
Bengalis are not Arab Muslims. I can tell you with almost 100% certainty Arab Muslims would rather hang out with Arab or American Christians and even American Jews Before they hang out with Bengalis, or Somalis, or African American Muslims outside of the mosque. I’m not talking about the kids that go to school and millenials but I’m talking about the old timer Arabs.
Islamic solidarity is not real outside of prayers

As a life long Democrat I was disgusted with the unrelenting support Biden gave Israel when it was apparent they were committing war crimes. Maybe for the average dem seeing the dead kids was ok, but not for those of us who are Muslim. 100k are dead with snipers targeting children, what would be worse than that? The US covering for genocide war crimes and apartheid is par for the course.
We've read your exact same comment as many times as you've posted it. And now we've got Trump! Your protest vote worked. I'm sure Gaza will go great now.
Oh sorry I didn’t act like a good little brown person and vote Democrat like you wanted me to. It’s totally cool that they ignored the protests and Muslim American voters.
None of us gets everything that we want from a candidate. You didn’t “show” anyone. You just broadened the suffering.

Anonymous wrote:Trump put specific transgenders in school ands and Kamala’s clip discussing her support of sex change operations on illegal Immigrants ads. That’s why he mentioned this random detail during the debate. He placed these ads with lots of heavy airplay specifically in Michigan and in Pennsylvania and North Carolina.
Those ads were very successful and seen as the most successful ad of the campaign. It moved swing voters to Trump.

Can we please stop playing the blame game here?
Besides, I thought the new narrative was that Harris lost due to nationwide concerns about the transgender population and biological males competing in female sports?

The explanation being given by the talking heads is that they were unhappy with the Biden administrations support of Israel. But they obviously realize that a Trump administration would be just as supportive of Israel. I would assume that they would go with the candidate who belongs to a party that has a significant faction of people opposed to supporting Israel, which is non-existent in the Republican party. Can anyone help me make sense of this?
LOL idiot. Let me break it down for you. They don’t want to vote for the person perpetuating genocide against their families. If someone was involved in a genocide that killed all of your family would you vote for them?Like many Americans they believe there are only two choices. So they voted for who they believed the lesser of two evils are. Trump was the first presidential candidate to visit Dearborn and his staff met with Arab Americans in Dearborn multiple times. Kamala refused to meet with her. So did her staff. She talked down to them. Told Arabs protesting genocide that “she’s speaking.” And then the dems sent Bill Clinton to lecture Arabs about how Judaea and Samara belong to the Jews because the Bible says so.
