I’ve done ok Sunday and Monday with 2 total exceptions. I was feeling emotional about a family issue on Sunday, and that made me feel like ‘self-medicating’ with sugar on Sunday. Secondly, Tuesday is my big grocery shop day, and we were low on healthy breakfasts this morning.

However, I feel like I can do Tuesday with zero sugar exceptions, and keep the momentum going from there.

I have to remind myself it’s not worth it to let healthy groceries get low at home, just go out and pick up a few things, so easy. (For me, I can have unhealthy stuff around, no problem, but I do need healthy stuff readily available)

Welcome BamBam! I had half a home made muffin and a teaspoon of sugar in my Greek yogurt. I fit it in my WW points. Pretty good

Kate it’s a new day! Hope it was great

Hi Bambam! Glad to have you join Alexandra and me.

I had a terrible weekend. Back on track today with about 20g added sugar in total. Lots of veggies and whole grains. Good 4 mile jog.

Have a good night everyone!

My story is I had done a long period of no to low sugar. I lost 15 lbs. I’m at a plateau. But you can’t call it that.. if you’re not working on it!!! So I am here to take part and be inspired by you all. I am now committed from Saturday night.

I’ve been free and loose since July or August. My lowest weight (in 6 years) around July 1. And then I gained a few back and I’m hanging out there. So not tooo bad.

But, I want to keep the progress growing and not be so loose with my choices. Soda, ice cream, cookies aren’t objectively helping me. It feels nice for a few minutes, but they’re leading me down a route towards genetic diabetes, retaining a higher bmi, and fewer natural vitamins and healthy food.

Thanks for the encouragement Kate! My clothes feel looser a little but man it’s a good reminder how hard it is to lose enough weight for it to be really noticeable. I’m going to try and be really strict for the first 3 weeks at least to establish new habits. But I have some weekly points left so I might have something tiny tonight if it fits in my points.

Wow, wow! That is such amazing news and I am thrilled that you are feeling empowered and encouraged.

My body was aching after teaching dance so I took yesterday off. Going to get in a work out later today. We have good produce in the house and I have some leftover salmon for dinner. Here’s to a beautiful fall day!

Wow almost two weeks into WW and I saw a number on the scale I have not seen in years. I was on the low end of my recent normal when I started so even a 3 lb loss is feeling really good. Hopefully not just water weight.

Made 20 minutes to jog yesterday despite everything (and it has been quite a week!). Feeling really proud of myself.

I guess I don’t feel *healthy* unless I exercise. Yesterday was the first day I was disappointed in myself a little bit. I was hungry and we were low in produce because our grocery delivery was terrible- more than half the fruit was inedible. So frustrating. I haven’t been able to restock because of my sick kid. So no time and low on zero point food. I ate a bunch of crackers and whole milk and used a ton of my points for the week. Totally not worth it. Trying to bounce back.

Well I don’t normally teach dance, but the school has been having trouble finding substitutes and one teacher had to suddenly leave to take care of her mom in Florida. So I stepped in to help but I cannot do this every week. It’s four hours on Wednesdays after work and, while I really enjoy it and feel good at it, I just can’t do that every week.

So I did not eat dinner yesterday. Only sugar was a cup of hot chocolate in the morning. I’m a little under my target weight between the Covid, my colonoscopy, and missing a few meals here and there being busy. I’m going to focus on healthy and filling meals today.

I’ve always understood weight loss is nearly all about eating. I exercise to feel good. That’s all.

Way to go Kate, I didn’t realize you taught dance too! That’s amazing. When my kids are older I want to go back to doing more fun things like that.

I’m still eating really well and I know that is the most important for weight loss but I have not been able to exercise beyond a few walks because my kid has been sick so I’m up with him at night and then doing an hour or more of work at night to keep up. Reminds me of COVID…

Fingers crossed all are healthy tomorrow

It was not bad at all. The worst part was laying on the gurney with the finger pulse-ox and listening to the beep of my anxiety fueled heartrate. And the lack of sleep the day before. And the non-allergic rhinitis caused by the nasal cannula oxygen. But really, not too bad.

I did a light jog. I ate well yesterday. Eating well so far today. Teaching ballet again 4:30-8:30. I am so delighted to hear WW is working well for you. Outstanding! I think it really incentivizes the right things.

Sending support,

I ate really well yesterday despite having a sick kid and being a little stressed. This whole WW thing is so interesting- I ate a bowl of Cheerios yesterday and it felt like a huge indulgence because we only have whole milk in the house so it was a lot of points. I had a tiny piece of candy for three points. I am trying to make sure I log everything even if I eventually go over my budget for the week. It really makes me think. Very low sugar aside from the candy and that was probably only 5 grams or so because it was so small.

Glad your colonoscopy was clear! I am not looking forward to those…

That is wonderful news, Alexandra! Good job and even better that you feel good about your choices over the week.

Colonoscopy was clear so 10 years until the next one. I’ve had a bunch of sugar but that was unavoidable with the prep. Should be back to normal eating tomorrow.

I’ll admit I’ve been feeling pretty unmotivated in general and I’m not sure what to do about that. I need to find a way to reinvigorate myself.

I’m a week in weight watchers; I stayed in my limit for the week. I am down about a pound and a half which is not super exciting since that’s a pretty typical fluctuation. But I’m very happy with how I ate from a health standpoint. I’m going to try and and keep it up and hopefully it will pay off. I have eaten very little sugar so that is good.

How was the weekend Kate?
