I think Russian morale is low because their equipment sucks and they are taking a lot of casualties.
The soldiers have no problem shooting civilians when they see them and raping the Ukrainian women.

They are not zombies from the walking dead; they are fighting probably the best they can. They just are not a very good military. Never really has been, just brutal.

Why do you say that? They can not deploy in a tactical way, can not supply their troops and their equipment is inferior. Even with the most motivated troops the training is just not there. The Russia way of fighting is to throw men and material at a problem.

"They don't want to be there" yet they can be seen shelling apartment buildings, hospitals, schools, firing machine guns at journalists, evacuation convoys, civilians standing in line for bread. They have a weird and psychopathic way of showing they don't want to be there.

No, their best case scenario is for Russia to either win or quit now and go home quickly. The first one isn't happening. And so far, neither is the second.

Russia is a major partner for China. So is *everyone else*. If China picks Russia and publicly backs them, they'll be on the wrong side of *everyone else*. But if they abandon Russia entirely, it would hurt them and be destabilizing worldwide. Trying to stay neutral is the best they can do now. This war is not what they want. Unless Russia was able to quickly and effectively take Kyiv/Ukraine, they would have preferred for none of this to happen.

No, Russia really is this weak. Other than nukes they are no threat to the US, let alone NATO.

Conventionally NATO would crush China and Russia. But is impossible to stay conventional as nukes would be used to take out our carriers. That is target #1 for China.

Problem for Russia is that when you are at the front you are exposed to enemy fire.

Russia has some very capable officers; but like any military they rely on their command chain to execute their orders. When that does not work senior officers are exposed to combat as the try to execute their orders.

There is tangible evidence of captured/killed Russian “officers” in uniforms bearing “K” epaulets.

The “K” designates “Kadet” - or student-officers in training.

The Russian situation is so desperate, they have resorted to pulling officer-trainees out of class, to be sent straight to the front lines.

Russia has lost more people in Ukraine in 3 weeks than the US lost in Afghanistan and Iraq combined over 20 years.

I also would not be surprised if the Ukrainians are getting covert help from Western intel services. That would also explain a lot about why they’re locating these generals.
