I have 2 dogs—and one has enormous poops—I cannot imagine leaving a poop bag anywhere, even with plans to get it later.
Yes, PPs, I’d be annoyed with a poop bag being left near my house for 30 minutes. I mean… how is this a thing??
I carry my dog’s massive poops with me on our walk. It’s the only responsible thing to do. Sheesh.

As if one day one person did it, and then everyone else thought, Oh, this must be a good spot to litter dog poop, where all the little kids walk by every day.
Who do they think is going to come along to clean this $h!t up?

+1. What is wrong with these people? How do you not understand that leaving bags of poop lying around is a gross thing to do? Don’t want to carry dog poop bags for 20 minutes? Don’t have a dog.
If it is hidden, why does it matter to you? You do realize that if you walking on a trail you are walking on animal excrement, not simply walking by it. I'm sure you lunatics would also complain if you walk by dog owners in a narrow trail and get a whiff of the dog poop being carried in the bag.

It’s not doing anything to anyone.

Ugh, gross. Just take it with you to the nearest trash can. What is so hard about that??

People forget.
Just take and carry the dog poop bag with you. Don't get an animal if you don't want to do the work.
Am I missing something? The first pp said they have dropped them but went back, picked it back up and continued home. What’s gross about doing that?
To the op, I would guess it’s been dropped, unless it’s the same type of bag done several times.
Why are you dropping bags of poop? No. Carry it with you until you find an appropriate place to dispose of it. This is not hard.
In our neighborhood everyone who walks their dogs and do a full neighborhood loop will drop the bags and pick them up upon return. It’s only an issue if they don’t ever pick them up going back. A bag of dog poop on the edge of your property for 30 minutes is a big deal?

People don’t want poop bags in their private trash bins either…

But then, you just drop the bag on the street right outside my house and walk away. First I thought “maybe they’ll come back for it.” But no. Because the next day you came back and dropped a second bag in the exact same spot, next to the first. And then a third bag on the next day, all in a little pile. I’m angry. I’m grossed out. But I’m really trying to understand your thinking here. Do you leave all other garbage in the street, too? How can I make you stop?
Most dog owners do not do this. So stop generalizing. Leave a note on the pile. Get a camera. Call them out. Report them.
What else can you do?
