I think you could skip season 3 and watch seasons 4 and 5. They introduce new students, coach has to coach a different school, etc. Vince is one of my favorite characters and I absolutely loved seasons 4 and 5. And we barely see Jason Street who was one of my least favorite characters. So that made it even better.
