DP here and I actually really do not understand the correlations you are trying to make at all. East German Stasi, Texas Republicans, and Virginia politics? None of these things have anything to do with each other in any way, shape or form.

There’s an election coming in Nov. a new Governor, will be elected. As, LT Gov, maybe AG and delegates. IF GOP were to regain control of VA government, the crazy GOP would implement their own version of what’s going on in Texas. And what’s going on in Texas is basically turning neighbors into snitches, a la Stasi.

The truth is, it is authoritarian states that are the problem, and modern US liberal Dems are anti-authoritarian, while Republicans are pro-authoritarian.

Second, you live amongst many, many middle-of-the-road folks who tend to lean right for the sake of fiscal responsibility and national security. They stood by and let Trump steal and grift how many 100 of millions of $ while in office. Election lies cost and are still costing taxpayers $600 million and counting.
