Sadly, who the victim is matters a lot. This guy is going to go away for a long while.
The victims are literally the same age and gender
That is not what matters most - if the victim in the Whitman Crew team's parents are the Deputy Attorney General for Maryland and a Circuit Court Judge, yeah they're going to wield a lot more influence over parents who are a School Bus Driver and Clerk.
And yes, for a sport that costs $5,000+ a year per child for season practice, gear, uniforms, transportation, and extra lessons - I do expect the parents are of a high socio-economic class.
I would be careful about generalizations and stereotypes.
We are at a low income cluster, with lots of FARMS/ESOL families. They spend that easily on travel soccer/volleyball for their kids. Don’t assume that only wealthy families value sports.

There will be more victims. He didn’t just wake up one day and decide to sexually abuse a minor.

Any time a coach is also an academic teacher, you can be sure they're bad news.
Anonymous wrote:There is a male gym teacher who currently still teaches at Whitman who was reported by female students for having a visible erection during several class periods (while he supervised female students exercising). They even recorded it and went to the administration. He’s also known for making inappropriate comments. Nothing was done. These girls learn that their voices don’t matter.
My daughter has friends on the crew team. I can confirm that they were not surprised. Apparently he also had a pattern of grooming girls and texting them individually to complain about other girls. Disgusting.

I am trying to reach dd on west coast to get more info.
I’m so sorry. My Blair crew DD rowed last in 2011 and didn’t recall him, but said the sport attracts “touchy coaches AND DADS” (her text) 😫
Where does Blair practice? Whitman + TBC are out of Georgetown Boat House. Any kid who rowed out of the Georgetown Boathouse would recognize him.

Anonymous wrote:I’m the poster who posted about the teacher with the erection. This was not just a quick thing that he tried to hide. My daughter was in one of the classes. She told me right away when she got home. She wasn’t one of the girls who went to the administration, but after nothing was done I wanted to pursue it (he had used innuendo and made inappropriate comments). My daughter was a freshman and was insistent that I not take it further. I respected her wishes.
