yes! DH and I were actually commenting that they look like false teeth. It makes her entire face look a little off or strange.

She has very quirky “Alexis from schitts creek” moments.
Agree. It's distracting. In the scene where she's talking to Melissa McCarthy by the pool in episode 2, I kept thinking it was Alexis.

I'm distracted by Nicole Kidman - in this and in Big Little Lies. I can't get past the wigs, thinness, and plastic surgery to appreciate her acting but I suppose that says more about me than her. The intensity of her look is actually consistent with her character. But sometimes I think, do we have to give every role to her?
When you buy the book & produce the series, you get a say in casting decisions. Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Kerri Washington and other women have committed to better roles about and for women. I don’t love all of her work, but Nicole Kidman works her ass off and wears many different hats in the industry.
Maybe be more concerned with putting the right person in the role rather than yourself?
The scenes with Kidman are completely distracting and I'm not thinking about Masha, I'm thinking that's Nicole Kidman. I know I'm in the minority on this, but I don't think she's that great of an actress.
Totally agree with you.
She was excellent in Big Little Lies. Somewhat distracting in The Undoing. Horrible as Masha.

Anonymous wrote:I haven’t read the book so have no idea what the general plot is. Not I just watched 4th episode. I still can’t decide if I like it, it’s a bit slow and I’m pissed they killed poor Richie the goat. If they were on an island for days without food that’s one thing. But it was literally one day with no food, but they had a smoothie in the morning. It went all Lord of the Flies a bit too quickly.

I feel like we haven't really heard much from Lars. He's clearly building a friendship with Zoe, maybe they help each other the way Francis and Tony clearly are (McCarthy and football guy). But I don't know what Lars is there to work on.
I heard an interview with the Director. He said Francis and Tony are friend IRL and they changed some dialog while filming or I guess improved, and he likes how they connected on screen.
