That is super low compared to the 90% in FCPS. I really hope that number just hasn't been updated. My children are too young to get vaccinated and tomorrow they start school for the first time in two academic years. I'm nervous as hell.

Where did you get the 62% figure? Is that recent?

I also wonder how accurate that is considering staff were most recently asked on Friday to include all of the new staff. The previous survey was back in March.

Once the vaccines are FDA approved, not emergency authorized, everyone--federal, state, and local--cam flat out require it. Until then, weekly testing for the folks seeking exemptions is the only way any kind of "mandate policy" can be enacted. Not just in ACPS, but anywhere.

This is the only communication of interest to ACPS Superintendent. Patting himself on the back for a job well done with no demonstrable safety planning for the coming school year and very little information transmitted to families. Infuriating.

Weekly Covid testing is an ongoing expense; getting vaccinated is a one-time expense. Why are we spending money on top of accepting the risk that unnvaccinated teachers bring?

Prior to this, I doubt any of them minded that all of their students needed to be FULLY VACCINATED to walk into theor classrooms. Why aren't they being held to this standard?
