Then she partied at a wedding of hundreds of people last night (Saturday) after the order was in effect
So: hypocrisy in the extreme
Asked and answered. She followed the rules. The rules say you can unmask to eat and drink. She was photographed with her mask off while she was eating a meal at the wedding. I'm wagering you're anti-mask, yourself.

If an individual doesn’t want to get vaccine or wear a mask, there isn’t much can be done. The major didn't think she was in danger to contract or transmit the virus so she did what she did. If there is no fine or jail time, people should move on.
"People" can't move on because the mayor didn't merely do "what she did." She used emergency powers to demand that everyone do something that she herself refuses to do. And she has placed both the enforcement and financial burden for that order not on herself, but on the business owners in the city who must now follow it. Business owners can't risk fines or being shut down, so they must comply, even though there is no scientific evidence that this policy is going to do much and even though they are struggling after a year+ of mandated closures and distancing requirements. You might be able to glibly say it's no big deal, but that's not the case for many DC residents, particularly small business owners. She should stop being such an entitled hypocrite and start talking about the real public health problem in DC: the people in her party who refuse vaccination and put everyone else at risk. (Hint: they are not Trump voters).
The people of DC keep electing “community activists” to the council. These are people who would be literally unemployable but for elected office and influence peddling rackets. They have never owned a business or had to make a payroll. Can we at least give a moderate Republican or actual independent a chance sometime?

THIS is the “smoking mask???” She’s at a reception where it’s clear there are drinks on the table. And here’s one lone photo. For all we know, she could’ve just finished taking a sip or was about to. All this biased news source has is one photo. Show me a series of photos at different times or her walking or dancing at this reception without a mask. But just one photo with drinks??? Yeah, no.
I agree. This is just silly. If she had closed indoor dining or large gatherings she'd have been a hypocrite. But not this.
The title is completely misleading.
"Breaking! Bowser sat at a table during dinner!"
