Must be, right? I was curious about how this venture is going so far and below are the NCSL results. Girls are doing great but boys are struggling in a few divisions. The 07B's has three teams which is odd considering the other age groups have one each. Anyway, made me think Valor NCSL teams aren't their top teams at all--possibly third teams on the boys side?

Boys
04B 1-3-0 IN D3
05B 0-2-1 IN D3
06B 2-0-0 IN D4
07B BLACK 1-2-0 IN D1
07B SILVER EAST 2-1-0 IN D4
07B SILVER WEST 0-2-0 IN D5
09B 1-2-0 IN D5
10B 0-3-0 IN D4

Girls
03G 2-0-0 IN D2
06G 2-0-2 IN D3
10G 1-1-1 IN D4

sterling is ncsl for their lower/younger teams and edp for their higher teams and since they went undefeated in div 1 ncsl they move to edp like their 07 team did a few years ago

Sterling U12s are not in EDP.

GFR top team listed in NCSL. They don't play in that league (VPSL-ECNL R). Read between the lines....

Better teams playing ECNL R, not NCSL.

GFR is listed at ECNL R schedule. https://admin.totalglobalsports.com/public/flightstandings.aspx?eid=2385&fid=12596
It looks like they play in both leagues.

This is fairly common for teams to play in more than one league. Sometimes the club operates academy style and there are too many players for 1 team but maybe not enough to field 2 teams. Also to give more playing time and have an A and B team with some amount of overlap between teams, to give more development opportunities. Loudoun Pre-ECNL U12G plays in both EDP and ECNL-R. BRYC U12G Pre-ECNL plays in both EDP and NCSL. FCV's U12 plays in both NCSL and ECNL-R (as Villareal). Another reason for the 2 leagues at this age is to play up in one of the leagues to begin playing 11 v 11 earlier in preparation for next season.

I don't think so there is no way great falls Napoli beat Villarreal academy

Well the league score says so. So must be a way.

A lot of o session about U12 soccer here to make parental egos feel better. Assuming the 11 years old are not posting from elementary school

I saying it's not the same team but it might be I don't know

The SMS team even had a Sat-Sun back-to-back weekend in Fairfax City and Winchester. Looking back at the results, I wonder if the Great Falls-Reston team just said "Screw it!" and didn't make the trip.

I believe that SMS team now plays in EDP, along with one of the two MSI teams. Although NCSL D1 *should* be consistently competitive, EDP makes so much more sense for MD teams right now. I just hope the VA clubs eventually come to the same consensus and consolidate everything but the leagues at the top.

Both NCSL and EDP should feed up to the USYS National League conferences. EDP has gotten a lot of mileage out of running the USYS Conferences. I am not sure why NCSL has not been able to establish a "pathway" from NCSL to the USYS South Atlantic conferences since NCSL is also aligned with USYS. EDP has started abusing their management of the USYS Conferences as this year there are teams placed that have done nothing to earn their placement.

Just wondering, are other people's teams further away than usual? This is our situation, but betting that it is just a fluke/bad luck.

Not ours..
What age group are you in?
We typically either fall or spring will make to Fredericksburg , Winchester in VA or St Marys county, Calvert county, or Annapolis in MD, The worst is when you play in DC and parking is non existent at some fields. But to be fair those club travel far for half of their games every season.

U13. It is probably just a fluke. My son has played St. Mary's before, at 8am in Alexandria (he doesn't play for Alexandria currently). They were a good team and played really well, despite how far they had to travel to get there so early.
