This thread is a perfect of how toxic our culture has become. If the victim falls short of perfection you instantly blame her and take the bully’s side. This is no different than blaming a rape victim for wearing a short skirt or otherwise “asking for it.” Unfortunately, this attitude is asAmerican as apple pie.

I’d characterize it more as that DCUM classic: the person who seems sympathetic at first, but gradually reveals themselves to be nuts, to the point that you question the truth of their narrative.

My daughter is not SN, but she has experienced some form of bullying (mostly mean girls behavior) in K (not in later years).

It was due to two specific girls that were smart, on the older side and “mean”. They would tell other girls to not play with my daughter and they would isolate her. I have no idea why, but my DD was really sad. The teachers had not noticed because sometimes they played with DD really well, but they were always the boss. Unfortunately, my daughter is always attracted to the more Alfa, cool girls in the class… there were many nice girls and boys that she could have played with and that is what I tried to do. I encouraged her to play with the nice kids instead… it worked some…

Fortunately, in 1st grade she had a different group of friends tht were much nicer.

Good luck to you and please remember that the “ugly” monster you are describing, is another 6 year old girl. I don’t excuse the father, but you are WAY out of line about the girl.

Next time you witness something, go up to her and explain that it’s not nice to behave the way she does and that she will have no friends if she keeps behaving that way. If her father won’t teach her right from wrong, maybe “nice” people at the playground can… I guess that is NOT you.

I’m always torn when people say their child is being bullied by ONE kid. That exists, so the poster might be accurate, but it’s very often a case of “instigating-reacting” or “taking advantage-reacting”.

And my child has serious SNs and social issues. I don’t blame the other kids. That would be bizarre.

Op, you have issues. Serious ones. Don’t project these onto your poor child. At this age they may be best friends in a week and you will feel ridiculous because you are in fact being ridiculous.
