Wow. Definitely the kind of story that makes you wish Pat Conroy or Anne Rivers Siddons were still alive.

Griffin is the dad's lawyer? How did he hear all this? Would the dad be able to say all of this with a bullet in the head?

Following this story on a FB page and it’s getting interesting. Alex (father) was shot in head but supposedly able to call his brother Randy. Supposedly, he’s up and able To talk in the hospital. Videos and photos from the scene show a Mercedes SUV with a flat tire but no tire jack, tools, or blood. Some of the FB group members are wondering if this was an attempt at suicide. There’s no mention of a car being driven away (although the area is very remote, so…) or warning to nearby residents to lock doors or anything. No mention of a suspect. Bizarre!

Housekeeper for the family had some sort of fall and died.

A young male who had some sort of relationship with the elder son was killed in a suspicious hit and run on a rural road.

A 18 year old girl who was a friend with the now dead Murtaugh son was killed in a boating accident that the son was facing criminal charges for.

The son and mother shot and killed on the family farm in June.

And now the father shot in head while he is changing a tire on the side of the road.

WTF?

No cameras on every road/corner of a small rural county. I hope the father was driving a Tesla and the car got the perpetrator on its 8 internal frames but I doubt it. Teslas aren't popular with conservatives.

Hampton lawyer Alex Murdaugh, whose wife and a son were shot to death in June, has been shot on a rural road in Hampton County.

Murdaugh was shot Saturday on Salkehatchie Road, according to his lawyer Jim Griffin.

Griffin, who said he had spoken with another Murdaugh family member, said Alex Murdaugh was on his way to Charleston on Saturday when he had car trouble and stopped.

Alex Murdaugh has been taken to a Lowcountry hospital (then evacuated to GA), Griffin said.

Griffin said he did not know the extent of Murdaugh’s wounds.

Can't say their I blame them, they knew the rich people would never be held accountable in SC.

Someone wants this entire family dead. The two in the middle were the first killed. Now the father on the right has been airlifted out of South Carolina to a Georgia hospital with a bullet in his skull.

Yeah, but the local police didn't announce any look-out or a manhunt. Didn't even give out a suspect description and you have to assume the Murdaughs had cameras on their property. But they also didn't announce an arrest.

So...they know who did it but they're waiting? I wonder how they know the person won't flee the jurisdiction.

Coincidentally, the on property cameras had been disabled.

How do you know? It was definitely someone familiar with the family.

It's been reported multiple times. You have to follow the local news.

Oh it was absolutely someone who knows family very well. The suspect had an assault rifle and knew where outdoors - on a 1,000 acre property or whatever, among 3 properties owned by the couple - to find them.
