Divorce
This. I just really, really, really don't get it. I don't want anymore newspaper articles about the yokels in the roadside diner. I want an article about my husband and in-laws, who were always conservative, but my BIL actually participated in one of those dumb car parades before the last election. He's in finance in NYC and is the furthest thing from stupid.
I get being conservative. I even get to some extent being aligned against Democrats in general, but neither of those things explain people's feelings about Trump. And spare me that they are all racist, misogynist A-holes and they always were. Trump resonates with some people in a way I simply can't fathom or explain.
They are afraid of change. Trump support is fear based.
That's definitely part of it. I just can't get over the bar of all these folks were good with Mitt Romney in 2012, but a few years later - after the Republicans have held both houses of Congress for some time,' "they" are destroying everything that made this country great.'

He will try and talk to me about this crap but I completely ignore him or just leave the room. When we go out with friends I have to listen to the same stupid conspiracy stories over and over again. It’s gotten to the point I don’t want to go out with another couple because I’m trapped listening to him rambling about politics! Now he’s talking about taking a vacation with another couple who are just as hardcore as he is and there is no way I can handle a week of this! I’m so sad that our relationship has evolved to this. I feel he would be in heaven if he was with a woman who is equally as nutty ...![]()

CNN still can't stay away from him, of course their ratings have really sunk since he left office.
I actually think this is a troll thread. Still it's amazing he is such a threat to Dems. He's not running folks so try to move on!
Trump is not going away. And there's a very good chance that one of 2020's swing states certify the Republican candidate for President in 2024 over the popular vote of their citizens. You could end up with a 2nd Trump term without him winning the overall popular vote - again, and without winning the popular vote in certain states.

Because at this point it is not Left versus Right. It is Americans versus communists.
In 4 years?
Let's rephrase this - it's Americans versus globalists. Understand now? This is not a new trend it has been happening for decades. You notice it but are labeling it Left vs Right when it's much bigger.

Yep. I couldn't tolerate being with someone who watches cable news (MSNBC, CNN, FOX, Newsmax lol) and repeats their dumb talking points.

That doesn't work with people who are in a cult or have gone full in on conspiracy theories.
