I thought we agreed that the term "Karen" is both misogynist and racist. Anywho, this story obviously hits a little close to home for some, who are on the defensive. Too bad, so sad. You're making your choice to continue living in DC. You don't even know how much it's wearing on you. When you finally leave, you'll realize the toll it has taken.

We live here and live with it. What the F DO YOU CARE?
Because I don’t want rampant violent crime where I live and I think four year olds getting shot is unacceptable. It’s weird to me that you don’t care. Have some standards for gods sake.

Then don't push guns into the city.
This is not a gun problem.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:LOL Bye OP. When are you going to start a thread on the mass shooting in your suburbs?
Even with mass shootings, the suburbs are categorically safer. Even if we had 10x the number of school shootings, all in the suburbs. They'd still be safer.

The story of the mother and child being shot in front of their home by a stranger should shake some people up- it's horrifying. They were shot in front of their husband/dad and other sibling, all over a scooter being parked on the block by an obviously really bad guy. It's time to leave DC. Take your tax dollars and join me away from the city. The council, the mayor, no one else will listen or do anything about the problems. Even if they catch the guy who shot this family, good luck seeing actual justice done. It'll be like the Uber Eats driver who was killed, and the perps got, what, a 2-4 years? Vote with your feet!!

I'm going to say it again:
Antonin Scalia and the Roberts court did this to DC. They made up an individual right to own guns. They did this to help their donors and gain political advantage in red areas outside DC.
It is disgusting and it is despicable. Without the Roberts court, DC would ban guns, and likely VA and MD gun ownership would also be curtailed, greatly decreasing the supply of handguns in DC.
It is time to ban handguns in America.
Oh, was the gun used in the crime legal and registered?
The real question is not this impoverished and lame hairsplitting, but instead,
Is DC awash in guns because of the Roberts Court and Scalia and the Republican Party?
And the answer is unquestionably yes. Republicans have blood on their hands. How can there be any question?
The whole world looks at Republicans making these stupid arguments about legal and not and whether guns kill people and just laughs at their stupidity.
Ban handguns — like Canada does — and this shooting wouldn’t have happened. Scalia enabled this. Roberts enabled this. All for votes for tax cuts for the rich.
Gun violence is inherently political because it is possible only due to political decisions. To the troll who will come and say “don’t politicize this” — You can’t separate shootings from politics.

Damn you really don't care about the victims do you? Is it because they aren't a couple of white girls?
You mean "Is it because they are a white mother and child?"
I am tired of the violent, often drug-addled, mentally ill people wandering the streets of DC.
