Ben is a mess and got lucky with JLo and Garner. He used to date A-listers, including Gwyneth if I recall correctly. Now he’s washed up and puffy. I hope JLo does better. But I do like a redemption arc so if Ben fixes himself up, that would please me.

I agree. Ben Affleck was raised by his Harvard educated mother. Jen Garner were raised by nice people in West Virginia. That’s not marrying “up” in anyone’s book.

PP here - I'm not saying he married up compared to JLo (which is why I said no shade to JLo). He married up compared to HIMSELF. He is a train wreck that sort of doesn't know he's a train wreck and he would have married up by being lucky enough to marry either woman.
