Anyone who has a family member who is or has suffered from long term tick infections would consider whether or not they'd be willing to risk a trip where there's a 50/50 chance or greater a tick bite could mean an infection. I would think they'd research before making reservations though... It's a nightmare you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy.
Why don't you just spray/slather on some bug spray with DEET -- like OFF!? Then wear longer clothes?
