Boomers did not invent the internet. They were just coming out of college when it started.

Wrong. Steve Jobs, Tim Berners Lee, Bill Gates all born in 1955. All boomers.
WWE is not the internet.

Then of course when you’re talking about 50s rock n roll, it’s basically impossible for it to have been played by Boomers, considering the oldest Boomer was 14 in 1959.
Boomers started to take over the ranks of rock musicians in the 70s.
K thought that was what you meant
Boomer kids were a huge generation of rebels. They liked music their parents hated, they protested a war their parents generation started, they demanded equality that society denied, they pursued technology, the internet and computers and believed that the Jetsons were their future.
If it were not for Boomers, the world would look more like the 1940s.

But that doesn’t mean it isn’t funny.

Sorry your parents hated you so much that you blast the entire generation. Time for a timeout.
Am I supposed to pretend all generations are the same? Sorry but no.
Overall, boomers are pretty selfish and have consumed way more than their fair share of our resources. But I’m glad that the boomers in your life aren’t like that. Hopefully you are grateful.
Any evidence at all for this assertion? I mean, aside from your self-absorption?
NP here, are you serious? There are countless studies on generational characteristics, people make a tidy living giving corporate presentations on this type of stuff. I just sat through one for course credits and he specifically characterized Boomers as spending everything they've got before they die and "sliding in [to the grave] with the wheels on fire." I don't want or need an inheritance, but spending it all and leaving nothing behind is a legitimate characteristic of that generation. As are selfishness, failure to protect the environment, and general sense that public goods (land, public services, etc) are to be used up by them without thought to leaving anything for other people.
The training I sat through had an interesting bit about the rewards each generation finds most motivating. The generation before Boomers valued security over all, the Boomers value status, older Gen X value knowledge, younger Gen X and older Gen Y value inclusion, and younger Gen Y value freedom.
I am a boomer and my parents left us $0 inheritance, nor did we ever feel entitled to any. My parents didn't pay for my college, my wedding, cars, trips, house... not a dime for any of my siblings either. I don't know many Boomers that got much financially from their parents. The children of Boomers seem to be like vultures circling their old parents waiting impatiently for their inheritance.
They didn’t have to pay for college or give you money b/c jobs were plentiful, paid well, and college, housing, were all way cheaper.
Cars were more expensive maybe. But gas was crazy cheap.

But the past year has taught me that all the complaints about the boomers are, in fact, very valid and deserved. They really are the worst.
Boomer Bill Gates donated $350 million to fund a Covid fax.
