Something the Gringx invented to be politically correct, but most Latinos hate it.
Hate is a strong word.
And your individual compliance is not required. Fact remains: the correct term is Latinx.
Use it or face the consequences.

So even if most Latinos don’t want to be called that it doesn’t matter what they want? That seems oppressive.

Please cite the OPM law/policy/regulation which states using this phrase is grounds for termination. Even once.
I think you will find you can't find such a citation. Thus, you couldn't be more wrong as many feds will attest. We've all heard PLENTY worse than than, multiple times, and nothing usually happens to the perpetrators. Especially if they are managers. Nothing.

Okay, I can’t resist... WHY will/should using this phrase get you fired?
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:It’s problematic because the person you are saying it to may not be LatinX or identify as a male. Besides it’s just extremely rude and disrespectful to not use the persons name to whom you are talking.
Don't refer to people as LatinX unless that's their preferred naming convention. It's incredibly rude.
