^^ Honestly, I'm no fan but his constituents DO NOT care, mostly, about Jewish people's oppression. His conspiracy beliefs are pure ignorance . There have been nightly shootings and murders in Ward 8 for the last couple weeks and it's not even summer yet. There was a mass shooting there this week. Is anyone paying attention to what's happening in the Highlands?!?! I don't mean to sound insensitive but the this concern of White being racist against Jews is just SO below the radar of this Ward's problems.

That's the kind of talk that has historically resulted in people getting killed as the accusations snowball. The fact that he can continue to hold power after showing himself to be racist is terrifying. And the fact that you can ignore it or that you fail to understand its significance is also terrifying.

I think Trayon White is an incompetent idiot and even racist (see the Jewish people control the weather thing) and it is really a reason of shame for his ward that he was elected. his decision to fly to Egypt during a pandemic (with the risk to having to rely on the strained health care of a third world country if he gets sick there) also shows his lack of common sense. but comparing him to Ted Cruz, as OP is doing, is unfair. Ted Cruz skipped town for a week exactly the week his states was under a sudden incredible crisis (and the texts with friends confirm that he went exactly because of the crisis, to stay at a 4 star hotels by the beach in warm weather instead of brave the cold and lack of electricity of his home). he is the senator from Texas, he should have been there. DC has been under a pandemic for a year and will be for many more months. this is not a one week acute crisis. taking a week off for vacation (and he is not the Mayor) does not seem atrocious, if he went to Ocean City nobody would have said anything
