It wouldn't surprise me if MLS starts their own little "All In" and start squeezing out clubs connected to ECNL.
It is hard to say that McLean wanted SYC for the MLS next pathway when they have a ECNL side.
I predict that SYC will lose its MLS Next slot.

Maybe something where they send their top players to train with the teams from those leagues and that they could also guest play? Each club retains their players to play in their own leagues as well. As an example, McLean would send their top 08 boy to train a few times per week with SYC and guest play in games while also being able to retain him to play in ECNL.
In this example is it presuming that mls next is the better players? If so, we’re saying a kid who would otherwise make one of those teams stays home with McLean but can play over to satisfy better training? Why wouldn’t the player just make the move for more consistent training? Maybe a mid level kid not quite ready for a better combined team does that by getting pushed in an extra practice, but I imagine that’s only a handful of kids.
Maybe because the clubs aren't next door to each other a player may not want to fully commit to a new club, maybe they like their current team but would benefit from higher level commitment in MLS/ECNL. For the club it may work where they don't lose a top player and at the same time offer more training/games. I think it probably best benefits the clubs by being able to retain their players while also dangling the carrot at the end of the stick. Pure speculation on my part though.

SYC’s MLS Next only go through U14. So it’s meant to help you get McLean age groups?
U14 for this year but I heard that it's going to be for older age groups as well starting next year.

There 100% is a latin soccer board. Very little local travel talk more about the local latin leagues like the Bolivian league. also the local cash game leagues. Many former professional players from Central America play in cash leagues where they are paid to play in.
