I’m doing the exact same and catching a lot I missed before! I love this show.
I know right? There is something unspecific in this.. the atmosphere .. the slow life and day to day existence that is in a way like a catharsis for a fast paced souls like us living on a hamster wheel. I often don't have a patience or need to watch the intros of average episode of an average series but here, I just let it play and enjoy that healing power of this time slowing down feeling..
It is really refreshing. I think that there is some almost therapeutic power of this show. They are not trying hard to please the viewer, they act like viewer does not exist, they don't pretend, they don't force any beauty of places, appearances, they don't colorize people or events. It is a veristic portraying of a family and some events that are served as they come.
The second watch let you reflect, and just enjoy being with them even for few minutes at the time.. somehow it is really like a Shtisel therapy.. in the most unexpected way.
Very much so. Part of it for me is that I have to read the subtitles so I can’t multitask like I usually do when watching TV. I have to sit and watch and so am fully engaged with the story. Such a balm.

Similar to season two her parents had to go through their own emotions for the Weiss family to wind up happy. Lippe’s repent scene was so powerful prior to that. He is such an interesting character. Hanina impressed me, too.
Lippe was basically the start of this season. His character came full circle. Really nice arch.
Yes, and ever since that heartbreak he caused, he is becoming more and more likable. It think he is the warmest male character of the show at this point.

Also, why to the married women cover their hair at home? Those sagging caps are the most unflattering thing to wear, why would they do that home? or why do they sleep with them on? when does the husband or kids ever see her real hair?
