I ordered two dozen in December. Right now I have three bagels left, and my plan is to eat out as much of my freezer as possible to create more space, and then order another two dozen.
NY transplant here. I love Essa! Closest to a true NY style I’ve had in DC is Bagels Etc in DuPont.
I don’t get the trendier places like call your mother or Bethesda bagels. Those bagels always seem sort of hard, dry, or super dense and chewy. Maybe that’s a DC thing?
Another NY transplant here. What you want is Goldberg's in Silver Spring or Rockville.

In January, I found them on clearance at a small grocery store and bought 12 bags of them. 1 bag a month to last me until next Christmas.
I have 3 bags left.

Given how this forum has so many people with disordered eating habits, I imagine there will be a lot of "OMG DO YOU KNOW HOW BAD BAGELS ARE?" "wow you must be fat OP" "I can't imagine eating that many bagels" etc etc etc.

And, cupcakes. I fell into the Instagram hole of videos with people frosting cupcakes and now I'm doing a little tasting survey of local NoVa bakeries. Buzz Bakery is winning right now, Alexandria Cupcake in 2nd. Anyone have suggestions on other cupcake shops?
