They are not mocking you for your jeans or part. They’re mocking you because millennials can’t STFU that the next generation considers them old and doesn’t want to dress like them. So they’re kicking the millennials for whining so damn much about their hair and jeans.

These kids don’t care what you wear. You’re old to them no matter what. They don’t want to dress like 35-40 year olds because no 16 year old ever has. And it’s embarrassing so many of you care that bad about what 16 year olds think about your clothes! Wear whichever jeans you want, they’re barely noticing you and you won’t trick them into thinking you’re 16 if you do wear the jeans they do.

When I was in high school (class of 89 in the house!) I had no idea what my teachers wore, and I thought they were all 50 years old. I’ve realized since then that most of them were in their early 30s!

I mean I graduated from HS in 03 and the style back then was low rise hip huggers, bare midriffs everywhere, “whale tail,” short ruffled miniskirts, and Juicy tracksuits. I would have D I E D of embarrassment if my mom or age 30+ teachers dressed like that.

My general rule is that if I wore a trend the first time around, I'm not going to wear it the second time. Although I do like a slim bootcut with boots in the winter.

Also, I agree that one of the best things about being middle-aged is that I no longer have any Fs left to give, so the teens can think whatever they want.

I’m sorry but what’s wrong with middle part? I’m in my 30’s and middle part is comfortable and looks ok on me, no different from side part. Why is there so much hate and saying it’s only a teen trend?

I tried to part my thick curly hair in the middle today. My 16 year old daughter wears her thick curly hair parted in the middle and she looks so cute. I looked nothing short of completely and utterly ridiculous. I looked like a freak. I had a lot of volume on either side of the top of my head, with curls that tapered to a point around my shoulders. So, yeah, no.

I really like baggy jeans, but it's hard not to look dumpy in them. I get that it works for Gigi Hadid, but I'm 44.
